3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750mL. First Nebraska rate! The pour is a clear, deep amber with loads and loads of particulate. Small, tan lace. Aroma is buttery bourbon, vanilla, rich toffee and caramel. Taste is sweet, dark cherry, spicy alcohol/boozy, nice bourbon/coconut, gets a little sickly sweet. Palate is thinner, watery. Reminds me of bourbon on the rocks.

Bottle: The aroma consists of whiskey with a touch of vanilla and some heat. It pours a orangish-brown with a thin off-white ring for a head. The flavor starts with caramel and vanilla. The finish ia all whiskey and is a tad hot. Medium-full bodied with mild carbonation and a soft mouyhfeel. Never had the base beer, but hints of caramel are all I can assume remains from the original beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Papsø’s
Cloudy amber color; almost no head. Aroma of malt, apple skins, butter; light alcohol. Medium-sized body, with a rather boozy malt flavor, caramel, light flavor of sweet liquorice too; the alcohol is indeed too evident. And it lacks the expected sweetness. Unbalanced.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A: The pour is almost flat and pours a murky orange-amber color. I don’t see any foam/head at all.
S: This is a damn boozy beer. The nose is almost completely dominated by the whiskey aroma. In fact, that, coupled with the intense oakiness, brings out an almost sour aroma. Strangely, I get a bit of pineapple and maybe some green apple.
T: There is a bit of bread, toffee, and caramel here. It’s decently sweet, but the whiskey aroma once again absolutely overwhelms this beer. Tons of oak and maybe a hint of vanilla.
M: The body is medium with a very, very low level of carbonation.
D: Kind of disappointing and difficult to drink with all the booze going on.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I believe I have made a significant find in the Kandarian ruins, a volume of ancient Sumarian burial practices and funerary incantations. It is entitled "Naturum De Montum", roughly translated: Book of the Dead. The book is bound in human flesh and inked in human blood. It deals with demons and demon resurrection and those forces which roam the forest and dark bowers of Man’s domain. The first few pages warn that these enduring creatures may lie dormant but are never truly dead. They may be recalled to active life through the incantations presented in this book. It is through the recitation of these passages that the demons are given license to possess the living.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle that has been aging for over a year now. thank to foppa78 for sending this my way.... pours a dark, mostly opaque, caramel brown pour with a quicly dissipating light off-white head... aroma has caramel, dark fruits, vanilla, wood, and a lighter whiskey component... flavors were much of the same with an emphasis on dark fruits, caramel, oak while vanilla and whiskey play a lesser role. age must have mellowed the barrel notes down some. body is a tad bit shy of medium with an adequate amount of carbonation. pretty sweet throughout but dies down towards the finish. not bad overall but not one that i would be actively seeking out again.
