4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle at Governors Island BrewFest. This beer was fantastic. Pours a cloudy gold with a slight, creamy white head. Pungent aroma of white wine, fruits and oak. Flavor is quite sweet with prominent alcohol/wine notes. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. A bit herbal. Finishes sweet with lingering chardonnay notes. Very, very good.

Nebraska reserve mélange. 750ml... Pours a hazy golden blonde with a
soapy white head... Aroma of belgian champagne yeasty, oak, vanilla and an all-around sweetmess ... Hugely dominated by
sweet honey and oak with lively champagne yeast. almost seemed like an oaked tripel in nature. not sure why i didn’t take too well with it. does this resemble the original aliased beer?

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a really light yellow. The aroma is pure white wine. Looks like a beer but has more wine characteristics. The blonde ale is subsumed by the Chardonnay notes.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2010 Bottle shared by a kind soul who I cannot remember but thank you, at the 2010 RBSG Grand Tasting. Poured a cloudy light gold with a medium white head that lasted. Aroma was a bit funky with some sour fruits and a bit of wine as well. Flavor began light fruits a bit of grass, but funk and sour notes grow with a bit of a dry wine finish. Also rated to nearly the same score, later with a bottle shared by Sean, thanks!

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
750 from Capone’s. Pours hazy dark straw toward canary with 2f off white head. Nose is spicy yeasty, tangeriney citrus fruit, oaky and white winey. Tastes very complex, with assertive chardonnay, oak, grapefruity citrus, yeasty spice, and very well balanced with a very unique flavor profile. This one is my Nebraska cherry buster, and it is damned good.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
In the bottle. Tasted at exactly one year of age. Pours a slightly hazy bright gold with a big white head. Has a carmelized pear aroma and a big alcohol heat. The aroma is also very oaky. The flavor has lots of tartness up front and a smoothing dry chardonnay mid-palate. The finish has lots of very dry oak. There a big lemons in this. You don’t taste the high alcohol that is in this beer; it is very deceptive in this regard. If I had to describe this beer, I guess I would say it is saisson-meets-bier de garde.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aromatics that jump out more in line with a Champagne than an Ale. Chardonnay character is huge. Some tart, sweet aspects in the palate. Wonderfully golden, light lacing on the glass. Aging extremely well. Batch 1
