COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Melange a Trois begins with a wonderfully big Strong Belgian-Style Blonde Ale and moves into the extraordinary category through an additional 6 month French Oak Chardonnay Wine Barrel maturation. The essence of Chardonnay permeates while a subtle sweetness remains from the Ale itself. Oak tannins combine to create a fascinating mesh of dry, sweet, and wine-like character. One of our favorites!

Poured from bottle at SAVOR. Poured a slightly haze light orange color with a white head. Aroma was some nice light fruits, touch of vanilla and woody oak. Alcohol isn’t too overpowering. Very tasty.

Tasted at Savor. I knew that this is a brewery I had to sample. Surprisingly, there was no line at their table. Enough of that, now to the beer. Poured a light yellow. Oak came through along with the white wine notes. Sweetness comes through but isn’t overpowering. Beer is nice and in balance.

The pour is a pale straw color with a soapy white head. Heavy on the lemon zest aromas with a touch of oak, coconut, and vanilla. The wine is there, too. Some sugar and fruit notes, though there is a bit of fake lemon character to the aroma, too. The flavor is a bit sweeter than expected, but nice. Sugar and bready malt to go with a fair amount of oak and barrel character. A subtle tartness and lemon peel flavor to it.

Bottled. Pours a hazy golden-orange with white head. Tart, peach, grape, strawberry aromas. Flavors of champagne, oak, and vanilla. Great beer. You can definitely taste the white wine influence with the wine barrels, but it complements the style very nicely.

Flavor is perfectly balanced, sours and oak and chadonnay alcohol hints with a nice pear fruity flavor that ccomes through. Right amt of spicieness. This is just about one of the best beers i may have ever had. Truly great ! Wow....

Sampled at the Trail Magic release party. Pours hazy dirty yellow with off-white head. The aroma is slight oaky tartness with some herbal and floral notes and lots of apple. Flavor is herbal and woody with a honeyish backbone. Some mint character floats around in there. I was really looking forward to this beer, but I’m having a hard time getting into it.

750 mL bottle at St. Anselm BK. A straw yellow beer with billowy white head that lasts. Aroma is very well rounded pale malt, lemon, grass. Lightly sweet with lemon herbal floral hop flavors. The chardonnay barrel comes through but doesn’t distract. It has a really lovely breadey effervescent mouthfeel with long linger. Moderate alcohol.
