Growler thanks to Mat! Pours a deep orange to light brown with very small sticky head. Aroma is mild hop, grapefruit and wort. Taste is more malt forward to begin but then the bitter hops and citrus peal really hit. Very bitter finish. More malt than I would like and would like to see a little more fruit come in.

Sampler tray at the brewery. Another badass beer from a great little brewpub. Sticky head, clear orange pour. Big time citrus and floral notes on the nose. Flavor is bitter hops, more orange peel and grapefruit pulp. Everything about this beer appeals to me. Very impressed.

Tap at brewpub-pours lite copper hue with a soapy white head and nice lacing from the start. very pungent hop nose, mostly pine, pinapple, tropical fruit basket-very nice! flavors are well balanced between lots of resinous pine and grapefruit flavors and passionfruit/tropical tones. very juicy ipa-long piney resinous dry finish. WOW, this is very good why is their pale such a trainwreck? i dont get it. This is very much my type of ipa! The true winner from this brewery.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2012 Tap @ brewpub. Clear, dark golden appearance with a white head. Piney, organic hoppy, a bit spicy aroma. A little sharp spiciness up front followed by a pretty sappy, piney hoppy flavor. Lots of lingering resin. Carbonation is a bit low.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz draught. Pours a hazy copper color. Aroma of pine, resin, ’herb’, grass, floral. Flavor of spruce, resin, lemon, floral. This one is a bitter hop-bomb, but with enough malt to sweeten. Quite nice.
