Sampled at St. Louis Microfest 2011 - Pours golden/copper with an off-white moderate sized head. The aroma has moderate toastiness to it and some fruity / citrusy hops. Medium pithy body with fairly soft carbonation. The flavor starts off with fruit and grapefruit hops traits along with a little bit of balance from the malt. The finish has more grapefruit, tropical fruits and pine. A really nice IPA.

Draft from International Tap House-Soulard. Pours a cloudy orange-amber color with a small off-white head that laces the glass. Aroma of super fresh herbal hops, earth, citrus peel, and sweet malts. Really nice hoppy aroma. Flavor of herbal, earthy hops, grains, pale malts, straw, and cereal. Light-bodied, with a dry, bitter mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Big nose on this IPA but the flavor doesn’t quite measure up to the initial promise.

On tap at Mad Mex, Cranberry. Huge hop aroma. Funky, cat pee, citrus, resin, ozone. Fruity notes with a bit of caramel and brewed iced tea. Medium golden amber clear with thin lacing creamy head. Medium-light body with mild carbonation. Starts with medium malt sweetness, caramel and light sugar. Fruity character, then drummed on by tons of fresh hop flavor. Big bitterness that’s not too harsh until the very after. A bitter chalky residue on the tongue. Nice IPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 pkavulak (21) - Nebraska, USA - MAR 30, 2011
Huge citrus nose that can be smelled if the beer is simply on the table. Flavor leads with hop character followed by a nice maltiness - out of balance tilted toward the hops.
Reminiscent of a west-coaster. Big, definitely a bold statement.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 riversideAK (5404) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAR 16, 2011
Big fruity nose, lots of citrus, lemon, grapefruit, oranges, toast and caramel. Pours amber, nice lasting head and decent lace. The flavor is nice and citrusy up front, juicy and fruity, mild caramel on the mid palate and dry toasty notes in the finish. Lingering chewy fruity hops. Very drinkable, solid IPA. More please.
