COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wick for Brains is our classic and painstakingly produced Fall Pumpkin Ale. Instead of simply using spice, we use real pumpkin which lends a sweetness and pumpkin flavor not found in many Pumpkin Ales. Wonderful pumpkin pie spice intertwined in an Amber Ale creates a pumpkin sensation which is elegantly crafted. Notes of Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Clove, Ginger and Allspice blend perfectly in this seasonal Ale. There are many Pumpkin Ales out there crafted by some wonderful breweries – we feel that ours stands among them and in some cases – stands apart.

This was an average pumpkin beer. Below smuttynose but lots better than the upslope garbage I had at the dia de los muertos party.

12oz can, thanks to voodoofish65usf for sharing. Clear orange color. Thin off-white ring of head, some loose dots of lace. Nice pumpkin, mild to moderate spice nose. Cool aroma. Taste is a slight bit rougher. Some mild creme in the aroma. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick finish. Mildly thin and watery, but not so bad. Easy enough to sip. Not bad at all. Not much to the body, but the flavor is reasonably balanced. Not bad to sip on while chatting with friends.

Can. A- Dirty diapers, spices, malty, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon. A- Orange color, clear liquid, minimal head. T- Spices, pumpkin, cloves, coriander, cinnamon, malty, nutmeg, slightly sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, spiced finish. O- The smell is a little funky but it gives you the idea of what you are about to imbibe. The taste is that of a pumpkin spice bread. Tons and tons of spices, primarily cinnamon and nutmeg. Also some pumpkin flavors, naturally. This was good overall, but wasn’t anything I would run for again.

Kind of a dry & run of the mill pumpkin. Pretty much an average appearance, aroma, & flavor. There isn’t much here that stands out. Pretty disappointing!

Bought in New Haven. Had trouble finding non-ipa there, but I did get the Elm City Pilsner which was very good. This Nebraska had a long pumpkin flavor, whereas most pumpk beers are shallow in pumpk. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
