COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wick for Brains is our classic and painstakingly produced Fall Pumpkin Ale. Instead of simply using spice, we use real pumpkin which lends a sweetness and pumpkin flavor not found in many Pumpkin Ales. Wonderful pumpkin pie spice intertwined in an Amber Ale creates a pumpkin sensation which is elegantly crafted. Notes of Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Clove, Ginger and Allspice blend perfectly in this seasonal Ale. There are many Pumpkin Ales out there crafted by some wonderful breweries – we feel that ours stands among them and in some cases – stands apart.

A pretty solid pumpkin beer. The pumpkin character is outstanding, though the spicyness is a bit much. Tried courtesy of Andy in Omaha, 2015.

Sampled at GABF 2015. In the tasting glass orange with a white head that faded quickly. Nose of pumpkin, nutmeg and allspice. Thin body. Flavor is by the book but seems less intense than many good pumpkin beers. Not that this one is bad...it is quite OK, just not outstanding.

While upfront there is a good amount of pumpkin on the palate, it quickly is lost and covered up by the spice component. The finish is good and full of warm pumpkin pie spice. I love pumpkin beers and this one is fine and one that I would purchase again.

Deep copper coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of canella, nutmeg, earth, caramel and quite a bit of peanuts. Medium-bodied; Strong nutty and spicey flavour at first that’s followed by a nice caramelised sugar flavour and some subdued fruits, all very noticeable with the squash as a malting agent. Aftertaste is complex and very nice for the style. Overall, a nice beer to sample and a good beer for the season! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from the Class VI at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska on 26-October-2015 for US$8,99/six pack, sampled on the train to New York on 03-December-2015.

A subdued aroma of pumpkin spice and pumpkin, pours a clear orange color with no head. Medium body with a pleasant mild pumpkin taste. A short lasting all spice finish.

Can thanks to huskertan! Pours a slightly hazy golden brown with thin bubbly white head. Aroma of light pumpkin pie spice and a hint of fruity yeast. Taste follows, light and refreshing, but spice is minimal. Meh.

Aromas of pumpkin and some nutmeg with allspice as well. Pumpkin orange colored body with a thin yellow tinged cap that leaves some spotty lace. Flavor is about the same as the aroma with more of a ginger presence.
