COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wick for Brains is our classic and painstakingly produced Fall Pumpkin Ale. Instead of simply using spice, we use real pumpkin which lends a sweetness and pumpkin flavor not found in many Pumpkin Ales. Wonderful pumpkin pie spice intertwined in an Amber Ale creates a pumpkin sensation which is elegantly crafted. Notes of Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Clove, Ginger and Allspice blend perfectly in this seasonal Ale. There are many Pumpkin Ales out there crafted by some wonderful breweries – we feel that ours stands among them and in some cases – stands apart.

The best pumpkin beer I’ve had this season. The glass is cinnamon rimmed which makes the aroma really great mixing with the beer’s aroma. Tastes like a pumpkin pie but not overwhelmingly so.

A delicious pumpkin pie treat from our friends at NBC. Aroma is delightfully engaging, really draws you in to the beer. Flavor is a lovely combination of pumpkin and spice. Am guessing some would want to serve with ice cream or top with whipped cream for the total pumpkin pie experience. I appreciate the effort Tyson puts into making this beer, especially dealing with all the pumpkin goo. Thank you!

Wick for Brains! Makes much more sense- I thought the bartender at 33 said "Wit for Brains". Anyway, this one pours a cloudy amber-orange color with a soft, finger-thick off-white head that left good lace in the tulip. Aroma of pie-like pumpkin, butterscotch, nutmeg, sweet bready malts, buttered toast, and cream. Flavor of more vegetal pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel malts, toast, sugar, and a little booze kick at the end. Medium-bodied, with a spicy mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Sweet, buttery, malty nose and spicy, earthy flavor. Interesting pumpkin beer and worth a try for sure.

Nice pumpkin/cinnamon nose. Not much head. Solid pumpkin and cinnamon taste, fades quickly. Nice slightly chewy mouthfeel. Very good.

Pours a lightly hazy golden with a medium white creamy head. Aroma of a nice mix of pumpkin pie spices and pie crust. Flavor of the same. Not a whole lot to say about a straight forward pumpkin ale like this..except that it was well done.

On tap at gilhouys. Seemed like a fall seasonal. Little flat but to me the pumpkin and spice also read.as melon, with a good yeast tropical fruit that brought it all together. Good beer.
