Our version of the classic English-style Nut Brown Ale has a blend of 6 different malts and very little hop bitterness. The malts are nutty and sweeter tilting toward coffee, toffee, and caramel.

Transparent brown with just off white head. Caramel, toffee and toasted malt nose. Malt sweetness, toasted with a dry hop flavor finish. Super easy drinking with nice flavor. Not SSNB memorable but tasty.

Pint on tap. Mahogany color. no lacing, small head fades off, clear-ish. Nice sweet malty aroma, nice slightly toasty taste with no hop bitterness--middle-of-the-road for the style; points for complexity. They make beer in Nebraska? I’m impressed!

12 ounce can from Beer Run. Pours a clear reddish brown with a medium sized fizzy off-white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of caramel, toffee, nuts, brown malt. The taste is nuts, toffee, mild roast, mildly fruity finish. Thin-medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness, low carbonation. Decent.

Can. Nice malty, toasted, and brown sugar. It’s like drinking a lightly toasted bread with almond spread. It goes down easy and very true to style. I have a feeling it is a little older than the British tradition strives for. The fact that they don’t date their beers is annoying out here in the rural parts of Nebraska where freshness and exposure is already an issue.

Clear medium brown body with a fast fading tan head. Aroma was of mild nuts and lightly roasted malts flavor was similar. A slight burnt flavor in the finish. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Clear deep amber pour with a small ring head. Soft toffee and nut on the aroma and taste. Palate is a little thin, and maybe a little under carbonated.
