An artful interpretation of a Belgian-style Saison created with Apricot Puree and Black Pepper. Aged for 6 months in third-use French Oak Chardonnay barrels.Delicate flavors and aromas of oak, apricot, chardonnay, and pepper intertwined in the barrel to achieve a flavor profile that is simultaneously complex and delightful.

Poured from bottle to glass. Hazy golden hue with fizzy white head. Aroma is straw, lactic, apricot, peppercorn, funk. Mouthfeel is great with a medium light body and sharp carbonation. Taste is dry throughout with a nice tannic finish. Overall this is a good brew.

From a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is rather fruity with some nice apricot character. Light notes of other stone fruit notes as well as some grain character. Pours a hazy, pale, golden orange with a small, thick white head that exhibits nice retention. Moderate lacing and medium sized legs. Flavor has some light grain notes with medium light apricot character. Light bitterness with a drying finish. Hints of other stone fruit and medium light phenolic character. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a rather nice beer but the flavor lacks the complexity and slightly citrus character that I prefer in most fruit saisons. A touch on the harsh and astringent side overall.

750ml bottle pours semi clear hazy pale orange with 2 finger head. Nose is rustic grain, dough, apricot, fruit, hay. Taste is similar with nice juicy apicot and fruit notes, held up by a soft earthy grain and light doughy malt. Finish is dry, with some soft barrel notes and fruity apricot. Quite good!

Poours a slightly hazy dull golden color with two fingers of fizzy suds. Nose has lots of funky apricot, wet barrel and foggy field grain. Palate follows with heavy vinous tannic notes that start out very tight but open nicely and shine some rustic grain and chardonnay character that priovide a nice base for the juicy apricot notes to round out the palate and add a pleasing balance to the funk. Very nice.

Tasting at Chez Bruce. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is airy and light, fine carbonation. Light floralness and a good winey tang. Mellow fruits underneath. Airy finish brings touches of yeast and spice. Joins up well.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Kenny. Pours unclear gold with a soft, frothy white head. Delightful aroma aroma with subtle funk, lemon, tangerine. Light to medium sweet flavor with light citrus tang, mild lemon rind, a bit of alcohol warmth, white grape. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with some woody elements, peach, lemon, subtle grass and hay. Very nice.

Bottle thanks to Kenny. Slow gusher. It pours hazy golden with medium white head. The nose is barnyard, earth, light funk, spice, tart apricot, sherbet notes, light vinegar and wood. The taste is crisp, hay, apricot, peach, sherbet, candy, wood, hay, barnyard, earthy, spice, warming alcohol with a dry, earthy finish. Medium+ body and lively carbonation. Was hoping for more wine character, but that’s what you get with 3rd fill... Decent enough.

Savor 2014 bottle pour. Lite apricot, some notes from the chardonnay barrel, really well balanced.
