August seems a bit early for the pumpkin craze to begin but I was intrigued to see what NABC could make of it and seldom see their products in Ohio. A middle of the road seasonal stands apart in some regards. Generally though it is just a chewy version of bready pumpkin like so many others.
Aroma / Appearance - A deep chestnut brown base floats in the glass with a slick presence. Bread made from extremely ripe pumpkins tethers the aroma to the glass.
Flavor / Palate - Pumpkin bread coats the tongue and mouth in a thin layer of autumn. The chewy finish adds more and more earthiness and spice. Overall it has the hallmarks of a well done release; however nothing sets it apart from the hoards of other interchangeable fall seasonals that should now be on the shelves (as of late September).

Can. Pours orange with no head. Smells of pumpkin, light caramel, light spice. Taste is very similar. Not sweet, which is nice, but nothing outstanding either.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Slightly cloudy copper like an Oktoberfest, with very little head. Semisweet malty aroma with light pumpkin spice and light pumpkin flesh. Crisp and pleasantly carbonated body. Blandish, or at least, predictable cliche’d flavor of light pumpkin and light pumpkin spice, gentle ginger, and gentle autumnal earthy sweetness.

355ml can. Amber/gold with a fizzy white head. First thing you notice even as you pour is that there is an actual pumpkin aroma to this brew. of course the tired spice mixture is there too. But I will give them an extra nudge for adding the actual element of its namesake. The flavor is again pumpkiny which is vegetal and melon-like, and some spices, its okay, definitely slammable but not interesting.

Tap at draft and vessel in Milwaukee. Matte orange with white head. Bitter spice aroma. Flavor is subtle and mild but good. Nothing off on it.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can - Pours amber with a ring of white head. Nose is all the usual suspects you’d expect in a pumpkin beer, with a mixture of dark bread and pumpkin flesh in the background. Taste is the same, though the blending of the spice, malt, and pumpkin is a little odd. It just doesn’t quite come together. Thinnish body and jacked-up carbonation. Just decent.
