Barrel aged for 6 months in combination of Bourbon, retired Firestone Union and wine barrels and Infused with fair-trade, organic coffee from local roaster Jobella. Rich bourbon and coffee aromas greet the senses. Complex chocolate and tobacco flavors fill the palate. This beer displays a full-bodied mouth-feel and an overall balanced presentation. It would be a perfect pairing to rich chocolate desserts.

Not a roast bomb, nice and complex. I can taste the wine barrel. Just the right amount of coffee, not overwhelming. Beautiful black color with virtually no head. Drinkable at 11%. Good offering from a brewer that’s not known for their imperial stouts.

Bottle: Pours nearly black with a small, light tan head. Smoky chocolate, bourbon, tobacco aromas.... Taste is dark, bitter-sweet chocolate, dark fruit, tobacco and coffee malts.... Woody, sweet, big and bold... A really well done Imperial Stout.

One hell of an American imperial stout. Boozy aromas float up from the glass. Thick, black pour. Complex and long on the palate, but with a shot of bitter hops at the end. Beautifully roasted and rich.

Bomber, 2014 vintage. Rich dark chocolate malt aroma with notes of roasted malt, molasses and red wine. Pours oily black with one finger of light brown head with good retention and lacing. Starts with rich dark chocolate malt flavors with notes of molasses and roasted malt with a really thick body and viscous mouthfeel. Finishes really smooth with dark chocolate notes melding nicely with some light red wine flavors. Excellent imperial stout!

18 Feb 2015, tap. ruby/black. nose reminds me of barley wine - sweet malt, alcohol, almost winey. this has much more of a toasted malt profile. med body and mildly fizzy. burnt toast, some raisins, some tobacco, mild alcohol. it’s okay. it’s too sweet and wet for me to think about it as an imperial stout. it’s too dark and toasty for me to think about it as a barley wine. odd mix of styles. and it is only mediocre as a beer regardless of style.

Bottle. Deep brown-black body, thick, slowly dissipating, dense light brown head. Very rich, sweet nose with lots of raisin and fig, coffee bean, toasted marshmallow, bourbon and tannic oak and some alcohol warmth. The body greets the palate with some prickly heat before quickly opening up to rich, layered plums, figs, grape, and coffee beans, finishing with more prickly heat. Sticky with a dense sweet flavor profile. Reminds me of Bell’s Expedition Stout, which is never a bad thing. In fact, a very good thing. Fantastic beer!

22oz bottle aged since 2012. Pours darkest brown with a tan head. Huge bourbon aroma. Initial notes of bourbon and alcohol but as it warms more complex flavors start coming out that include coffee, chocolate, molasses. licorice, dark fruits. Alot going on here. This is a big one.

Pours opaque dark-chocolate brown with a thin but serviceable tan head. A bit of ruby-brown light peeps through at the bottom. Aroma almost defies description. Lessee - chocolate, roast coffee, smoky malt, hints of wine and molasses. Flavor has bold strokes of wine-soaked wood, smoky malt, chocolate, bitter woody hops, and molasses; sweetness nicely balances bitterness. This is one substantial beer, not for delicate palates! Texture is firm and viscous, if none too fizzy; it leaves a smoky mocha finish. The heck with traditional desserts - make this your dessert. (You may need to call a cab, though!)

Smooth cocoa aroma with some minor vanilla and roasty almond. Light tan head and very dark brown body. Dark roasted dry cocoa and sight warm vanilla and minor coffee notes. Smooth and creamy on the palate
