Our IPA is created from a base of Pale and Crystal malts and is aggressively hopped throughout the brewing process with a final hop addition in the conditioning vessel. A beautiful flowery hop aroma will greet you as you dive into this hop lover’s dream. A middle caramel malt presence balances high hop bitterness with hop flavor end to end... learn to love hops! (Editor’s Note: originally brewed by Humboldt Brewing Company under the name "Humboldt IPA Nectar" until their acquisition by Firestone Walker.)

On tap at Hopjacks. Pours a cloudy yellow with small off white head. The aroma is floral hop and citrus. Thin mouth, sweet honey malt, light citrus, easy to drink, very good.

12 oz bottle: Aroma has got a nice pungent hop note, juicy grapefruit, and a very light malt presence. Appearance is a light amber with a thick white head that lingers around for quite a while. Taste has got a bitter hop upfront with a nice grapefruit note with a light malt characteristic. Palate has got a nice hop texture all the way through. Overall, Decent stuff. Cheers!

Attractive clear radiant ambery orange. Small off white head. I worry maybe this is past its prime, as it does not have the expected hoppiness, so I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt. Plenty malty. Fruity. Citrus. Pine. Earth. Caramel. Medium body. Moderate bitterness. Fair dryness. A little sticky

Pours a clear copper color. Nice sized white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Earthy hop aroma with a hint of caramel. A spicy floral hop flavor that turns into a sweet earthy malt flavor.

Tap...very mellow, but well balanced and tasty IPA with a honey like (hence the name?) taste that was very appealing. Hops were floral and subdued making for a nice change of pace experience in an IPA.

2014 bottle. Pours a hazy golden copper with a white head. Aroma is like brewing wort, clean crystal malt with a touch of caramel. Taste is a nice clean malt bill with a little sweetness and some caramel. A very pleasant floral bitterness. Mouthfeel is a tad chalky at the very end and a little aspiriny. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Pours amber gold with a nice, creamy persistent head. Aroma is some citrus and some floral. Flavor follows with nice floral and a strong malt backbone. Sweetish, but dry on the finish. This is a nice IPA, and #200 for me.

Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The beer is served a nice golden amber color with a one finger head of billowy white foam. The head of the brew has a god level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a nice level of streaky lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the brew is a great mix of tropical fruit smells of tangerine, pineapple and mango, mixed with a decently strong grapefruit and pine citrus smell. Along with these aromas comes some other lighter bready and caramel smells as well as a little bit of a Taste – The taste begins with a nice blend of the tropical fruits, caramel and grapefruit hops that were detected in the nose. While only a little bit of a breadiness is present upfront, as the taste advances it gets stronger at the expense of the caramel. While the sweet of the caramel fades however a bit more fruit takes its place, maintaining the overall sweetness of the beer. The grapefruit grows quite a bit stronger all while some pine and earthy hop flavors join the profile as well. The pine end up surging at the end, ad with the mix of bready and fruity tastes, ends up leaving a rather fruity and pleasantly hopped flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly chewier side for an IPA of only 6.5 % with a carbonation level that is a bit on the higher side. For the style the chewiness was fantastic but a tad lower carbonation may have been slightly more appropriate. Overall however the feel was still pretty nice. Overall – A superb tasting and smelling IPA. This is one I wish they would bottle. Try it if you get a chance.

Great sweet honey like malty aroma. The hops are muted in the scent. I am also getting some flowery undertones. Good looking, a bit dark for an IPA with a huge white head. Tastes like it smells. Hops are not too strong or bitter with just the right amount of sweetness for balance. Overall very enjoyable, I would definitely drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
