3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle. Very balanced and smooth IPA. Add it to the "all around" IPAs that I could drink every day

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Itís okay. Not much on the aroma except some weird sweetness. Thatís all Iím able to get. Taste is about the same. Not much but some weird syrupy sweetness. Iím kind of confused who makes this beer now. Iíve seen it a lot in stores and figured Iíd give it a try but itís not really what I was expecting.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Lagunitas mason jar
From: Albertsonís in Alpine, Calif.
Price: $1.67 ($9.99 for a mix 6-pack)
Purchased: Sept. 30, 2014
Consumed: Oct. 1, 2014
Poured a caramel, orange, clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of khaki white head. Tons of good looking streams of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Good amount of layered foamy lacing on the sides of the glass all the way down. Great retention on the top all the way down as well. (Sight - 4.06)
Smelled a pleasant whiff of hops right away. Got floral hops, Citra hops, caramel, toffee, pine, good deal of bitterness, Cascade hops and some even some roasty smokiness. Very nice on the nose. (Smell - 4.21)
Tasted toffee, caramel, roasty malts, buttery notes, floral hops, Citra hops, orange rind and rye hops. Almost seems more like a strong ale than an IPA. (Taste - 3.79)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, slightly bitter finish. (Feel - 3.81)
This was a very nice IPA. Big fan here. Iíd have it again for sure. (Overall - 3.88)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 1, 2015 "a little better balance than the pale (more malt), but the hops are stronger too...and just a touch too bitter. overall, an aromatic, but just ok, effort. 7/11 a little better and more balanced than remembered. 11/11 perfumey super strong aroma"
FIRESTONE HAMMERSMITH is aliased to this. No damn way. Hammersmith was in a whole nother league.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft. Mellow Mushroom Conyers. Pours a mostly clear golden with decent white head. Bigger malt presence than I prefer, but with some nice citrus burst. Well made, but nothing separates it from the crowd. Medium bitterness.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light malty on the aroma. Some honey citrus note.
Looks fine. Little head. Golden color.
Taste is pine. Dandellion. A little lemon.
Palate is watery but decently smooth. But hops linger a bit long.
Overall an ok beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a decent gentle hazy amber to slight brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. The lacing that was left in the wake of the dieing head was somewhat messy and foamy thick.
The smell had a decent balance of citrus hops to caramel malts. There seemed to a decent toffee underneath.
The taste was bitter and sweet at separate times in the beer.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. The carbonation was somewhat harsh as it carried what it should to be decent for the style and for me.
Overall, good AIPA I could have again.
