Our IPA is created from a base of Pale and Crystal malts and is aggressively hopped throughout the brewing process with a final hop addition in the conditioning vessel. A beautiful flowery hop aroma will greet you as you dive into this hop lover’s dream. A middle caramel malt presence balances high hop bitterness with hop flavor end to end... learn to love hops! (Editor’s Note: originally brewed by Humboldt Brewing Company under the name "Humboldt IPA Nectar" until their acquisition by Firestone Walker.)

On tap at the Yard House, Houston. As Yard House IPA. A small, dense off-white head sits on top of a hazy, golden-orange body. The aroma is mostly on the piney side, with orange peel, some apricots and a little malty touch. Some bitterness in the mouth, should have more I think. Orange peel, pine cones and a little malty sweetness. Full body, nice co2 level. A bit short in the end, but there’s at least a nice piney flavor and some orange. Overall, sure a nice one, easy drinkable and next to quenching. 140514

12 oz. bottle. Pours a well retained, medium, ivory head, with some lacing, over a very slightly hazy amber (SRM 12) body.....nose is typical American hops, with pine, citrus, resin, light floral notes, malts are lead by light toffee/caramel notes, slightly sweet hints, minimal esters....taste is lightly sweet, with toffee/caramel notes, leading to light cereal, pine, resin, citrus peel, finishing with a moderate bitterness, minimal esters....mouth feel, body medium, light alcohol warmth, carbonation makes a light acid finish. This is a quite typical American IPA. It is hop dominated in both aroma and flavors, comes close to being balanced between the malt and hop backbones, and has a clean finish. BJCP 8/3/16/4/8

Hazy dark orange to copper pour with a 2 finger, creamy, off white-yellow head that has good retention and leaves some lacing. Aroma is caramel, candy-like fruity notes, lots of floral hops, some citrus, caramel and a little dust oxidization. Flavor is full of candy fruitiness, lots of sweet Crystal malt, some biscuit, lots of candied citrus, artificial strawberry flavor and some bitter and fruity citrus hops to the finish. Light to medium body, syrupy, creamy entry, medium, blanketing and quite sharp carbonation and off dry, but slightly juicy finish with a pretty noticeable hoppy-acidic bite. Good stuff overall, a little too candy like and too loaded with Crystal malt, but enjoyable nevertheless.

Pours a honey golden color, with slight off-white head. Excellent feathering. Lots of carbonation. Slight honey note that appears upon first taste, disappears, and then comes back. Strange. Okay, average beer. Wish it had more honey flavor, to match the "nectar" in its name.

@ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Aroma of citrus and malt. Deep amber color, long-lasting rocky light tan head, sheets and swirls of lace. Taste is smooth honey malt going in that adds citrus hops deep in the palate, only to relent and grow sweeter as it fades. A nice drinking beer. Recommended.

12oz bottle, brownish pour, hop aroma...YES!!! An interesting hoppy brew. Not as hoppy as I would like, but not sweet either. A nice balance, good hop flavors, hints of caramel and grassy hops. Good brew, definitely worth the try!!

[Bottle] Pour is a deep amber color with about a half inch of dense white head. Strong floral hop nose is accented with caramel and lighter tropical fruits. Taste comes across as more bitter. Pine sap and grapefruit hoppiness. Sticky caramel provides balance. Syrupy, with low carbonation. Tasting notes from early 2012.
