3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a nice copper color, right for the style. Aroma is of citrus hop, caramel malt. Taste is a nice balance for the style, hop front and malt backbone. But the palate is a little bit thin and fizzy for my liking. Maybe itís because it traveled all the way out here (DC) from California? I like this beer but the palate kinda kills the enjoyment for me, I want less fizz and for it to be smoother. Was so hopeful with the 2010 GABF award on the bottle.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Advent beer #12 - 12oz bottle. Firestone walker was involved: expectations raised. Caramel and honey/floral. Sweet with slight bitter finish. Very easy to drink. Does not pair well with dry salami. Bitterness gets stronger with every sip.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Reddish/brown color with a good off-whiter head. Malty aroma with a little pine. Flavor has more hops than I thought. A little acidity and a little roastiness/nuttiness. Thereís a slight astringincey in the beer that isnít quite so smooth, but itís still easy to drink.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance has a ruby red color supporting a fair head that slowly dissispates leaving spotty lace. Smell has a nice balance between sweet caramel malt and the floral hop aroma. Taste faulters a bit from the aroma in not having that full flavor balance. Mouthfeel is lighter than medium with good carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pour deep red to bronze. Nose has elements of burnt caramels, raisins, light flowery hops. Flavor is similar. Not a lot going on in this beer but the dryness is really there and keeps this drinkable.
