Clear medium to dark orange yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toasted, fruity, light to moderate hoppy, flowers, metalic. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity, malty, white nuttes notes. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft. [20110119]

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2006 An orange beer with a white head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet with primary notes of caramel, but the flavor also includes hints of the alcohol and hops.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some chocolate, mild wooden notes as well as some resiny notes. Flavour is sweet malts, some chocolate, mild herbal notes, wood and quite resiny.

Ausgeglichen herb-süßer Antrunk mit vollem Malz. Da der Antrunk bereits vollmundig ist muss sich im Mittelteil nicht mehr viel ändern, so tritt der Hopfen deutlicher hervor, ansonsten bleibt die Aromenordnung aber vorhanden. Der natürliche Hopfen weist dabei mit der Zeit dezente Grasnoten auf, die zusammen mit der Süße mit dem Malz verschmelzen. Zum Ende milder, süffig. Eindeutig gelungen! 9/11/12/11/12/11

Bottle… February in Franconia (2011)… Clear golden lager with a mid-sized, fluffy, white head. The bouquet is of honey and light cologne. Medium-bodied and mildly creamy with airy carbonation. The flavor is well-balanced, refreshing and snappish. Finishes crisp and lightly bitter. Not really brewed to style. That said; I like it anyway. Thanks go out to erlangernick and Koelschtrinker for making this month of Franconian lagers possible!
