(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, pilsener golden with a rough, white head. Malty nose. Medium body, sweetish malty, slightly bready with some flower notes before a discreetly bitter finish. A bit low in carbonation and perhaps a bit over the top. 270907

Bottle. [Courtesy of Papsoe] Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Light cloudy orange colour. Spare lacework. Aroma of grass and floral. Also some caramel, grain. Quit malty base I thought. Medium bodied with a light dry texture and a soft carbonation. Light to moderated bitter with light sweet flavour. Light dry and bitter finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle, thank you MoritzF! Golden colour, large and persistent white head, hoppy nose. Floral and herbal hoppy flavours dominate over a pleasantly fruity and malty background. Bitter-sweet and highly aromatic. Dry finish and hoppy aftertaste.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of straw on a light malty background. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of straw and bread, leading to a dry bitter finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(swing top bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a beautiful blond foamy head. Aromatic and balanced, slightly sweet malty and citrousy, slightly spicy hop aroma. Sweet and light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Straw-malty, grainy taste; moderately dry malty and citrousy, mild-hoppy finish. Once again a good one made by Neder.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
As I’m visiting Forchheim its time to try a local brew - pours a deep straw colour, with a white head that fades quickly leaving a very still body with no apparent carbonation. Good balance of malt and hop in the flavour with a sweetish aftertaste. Reminds me more of a Czech Pils than a Bavarian one, but then Forchheim is almost in Czech.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bügelverschlußflasche: Golden coloured, big lacing fluffy head; sweet malt and a big herbal to floral hoppiness in the nose; strong bitter-sweet flavour, solid "bohemian" malty base, light to medium bodied; moderate, lingering sweet-hoppy finish. Drinking this beautiful Pils creates an illusion of sitting in a fine czech pub.............
