(Rating #3825)

My Bottom Line :
Spicy hops colour this lager from aroma to aftertaste, as pillowy cereals provide a soft but full mouthfeel.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam covers the beer in the krug.
-This tastes doughy like many Annafestbiers that day. Malt flavors aren’t coming through too cleanly…
-Drinkability in this one is higher than the average Annafestbier.
-Light fruit nose appear, before and after the herbal hop touch.

On tap at Annafest.

Bottle @ Brewery, Buttenheim. Pours clear amber with a small white head. Malty nose and flavor. Grassy hops and bread. This was a bottle from the year before but still quite tasty. Medium and smooth palate. Dry and hoppy end.

Golden with a small white head. Sweet honey and bees wax aroma with grainy malts. Sweet and grainy malt flavour, with a herbal touch. The sweetness gets cloying

Draught at Annafest09. The flavour is fruity and yeasty. Has a hint of sourness, but no more than tolerable. Looks dark golden in the mug. Small tan head. A bit papery flavour.

Cask at GBBF09. Alround rating: Wort, grainy pale malt, fairly sweet, grassy hop doesnt really balance. Not the best lager on offer.

@ Annafest, the only place to rate such beers. Ceramic mug. Thick head. Hearty aroma - woody caramelly rich dark malt. Quite alcoholic for its size, though, with toasty and brown sugary notes. Too boozy in the finish, not much fun compared to the others.

Cask@GBBF, 2009. Golden beer with a strong head. The aroma is strongly yeasty, and the flavour is mildly dry, malty and very yeasty with a vinous finish. Overall an average yeasty beer.

Bottle at GBBF kindly shared by Jan and Charlotte (I think?) 05-08-09 My notes are unfortunately rather scant on this beer suffice to say that I rather enjoyed this gold beer with a white head, it was soft in the mouth with a good though gentle hoppy presence. A6 A4 F7 P4 Ov13 3.4
