Bottle bought back from Israel. Poured a murky orange-amber with an off white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, and fruit; also some nuts and earth. Flavor was pretty good for the style, and quite flavorful. Some caramel, fruity yeast like notes, sweet malt and a bit more fruit. Flavor lingers. Surprisingly nice.

Excellent balanced ale.

UPDATED: MAY 5, 2012 Re-rate 5/3/12: Draught at Norma Jean in Tel Aviv. Hazy amber. Aroma of floral hops, a bit of fruity notes and malt. Flavor has some malt, slightly sweet, and continues moderately bitter and hoppy. Medium-bodied. Decent but seems not as hoppy as it used to be. 7/3/6/3/13=3.2

Bottle. Hazy amber color with a quickly-diminishing medium white head. Pleasant aroma of biscuity malts, some toast and caramel notes, and some nice hoppiness with citric and floral notes. . Sweet malty flavor with caramel, some fruitiness (peach, pineapple), bready notes and a bitter hoppy finish, quite herbal, with light citric and earthy notes. Medium-bodied and a rounded mouthfeel. A good one. 7/3/7/4/14=3.5
