Malty goodness with a caramel sweet finish. Mouthfeel of a Guinness with a clean finish .

Great porter with amzing aromas, of hope, Choclate and wood. Great taste like vanilla and coconut flavors. Some yeast taste wich was abit problematic.

Pours almost completely black color with a very generous cream colored head with medium retention. Aroma is quite strong - some roasted malts, slightly woody, heavy on the coffee and also slightly soury (wine/liquor) aroma. The taste is very bitter, roasted with some coffee. It’s not bad, but a bit too strong, too bitter for my liking. Otherwise very good.

Aroma: Roasted barley, alcohol, caramel, very inviting. Appearance: Right to style. Pours a very, very dark brown. The light brown head dissipates quickly, but laces well. Taste: Sweet from start to finish. Palate: More carbonation than I prefer in a porter, but it works well. Medium to full body, creaminess. Finish is long and chocolatey. Overall: Really impressed. My brother brought this back from Israel for me to try in New York. With no idea what to expect, this is a great interpretation of the style. Much creamier (oats?) than other porters I’ve had. The oak characteristics make this 5% beer feel more like a 8-10% beer, but I mean that in a good way. There is a unique sweet flavor that I cannot identify, but it’s not a bad one...just puzzling. Sad that I may never try this one again. Cheers!

A very good robust porter with a strong roasted coffee aroma, a rich and complex palate with notes of chocolate and coffee and well balanced sweetness. the oak chips give the beer its unique character and influence mildly the aroma and the taste.

Bottle in Jerusalem. Exp date: 08/2014. Pours black with a finger+ of mocha-colored creamy head, which settles quickly. Yeast film at base of bottle. Alcohol is prominent in the aroma, along with red wine, roasted malt, chocolate, and indeed oak. Some vanilla and leather. Coffee milk. Nice bouquet of smells, but they’re rather subdued. Taste, while enjoyable, is also on the subdued side -- roasted grains (buckwheat, barley malt) and hazelnuts. Nice bitter finish evoking coffee beans or cocoa nibs, but ephemeral. Body is full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft, lacing is minimal.

330 ml bottle. BB 29/08/14. From Tomer. A huge thank you to Tomer!
Pitch black colour with a small foamy tan head. Coffee, ashy dryness, vanilla, roasted malt and some sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is roasted malt, mild coffee, vanilla sweetness, mild woody dryness and mild hoppy bitterness. Quite balanced. Rather enjoyable actually. A bit too fizzy though.

Bottled 330ml@vWPBF. Dark brown color, small brownish head. Coffeish, a bit tobaccoish aroma. Medium-bodied. Coffee, harsh black malt flavor. Roasted finish. A bit lagerish?
