Borefts Beer Festival 5. Day 2. Bottle share thanks to 77 Ships I think. Cloudy dark brown beer with a good pale tan head. Light dry palate with a little fine carbonation. Good oak, a little dry and with just a whisper of vanilla. Mellow dark malt. Finishes semi dry. Not bad at all.

Black color, with small creamy head. The aroma is interesting, it doesn’t show only roasted malts, but also chocolate, molasses, bread, cookie dough, whipped cream… The body is lean, the mouthfeel dry; good chocolate flavor with a real accent on cream, condensed milk, some roasted nuts; it has correct bitterness.
Strange but very enjoyable.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a small, dark beige head over a very dark brown body. There’s some buttery notes in the aroma, else there’s coffee, burnt malts, chocolate and some vanilla. It’s medium to full-bodied and quite dry. Some residual sweetness though. Chocolate, roasted malts and some vanilla too. The finish is of the lasting kind, with chocolate and coffee blending nicely. A nice surprise, good to see also the Israeli can make good beers. 110319
