A truly great Porter! Strong black appearance, Dark brown foam. The strong roasted barley taste is well balanced by a certain sweetness and the Oak Aromas (mainly Vanilla) are very well noticed.

0,33l bottle at home from trade with tomer. Drunk 06/july/2016. No obvious BB date. black color, small tan head. smells a bit musty, lightly sour, a bit earthy, light caramel. not overly exciting smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, light sweetness, some ash, charcoal, even very light peat notes, bitter herbal / coffee groundish, a bit caramelly. finishes lightly sweet with light earthy notes, coffee grounds and light caramel. OKish not overly excited by it.

One of the best porters ever! The beer is overflowing with flavor, just the right amount of bitterness, and a real smooth bitter finish. The taste is heavy. Lively to average carbonation A bit woody in a good way, and maybe some hints of clove.

Bottle at Chriso easter tasting. 04/04/2015. Clear copper / brown coloured pour with a lasting cream frothy head. Aroma is nutty dull malts, meaty, raspberry. Flavour is composed of vanilla, caramel, nutty malts, toasted coconut, tangy milky. Palate is medium light, highish carbonation. Tangy fermenting milk.

Bottle at ChrisO. It pours deep brown with a massive light tan head. The nose is bitter-sweet, malt-driven, cocoa, caramel, oak and cardboard. The taste is bitter, earthy, toasty, spice, malt-driven, wood, caramel, spice and dirt with a very dry finish. Medium body and high carbonation. Very underwhelming and rather drying.

Bottle share at ChrisO’s. Cola brown, small bubbly white head. Aroma is cola cubes, caramel, floral. Body is medium, foamy, spritzy carbonation. Taste is metallic malts, cola, light floral, resin, ashy finish. A bit strange - particularly in the body. Has some signs of infection, but it’s passable.

Dark brown, black with light brown lasting, lacing creamy foam head. Complex aroma, but even more complex taste. Light bitter, licorice, some nutty tones. A nice beer. Thanks Keren for sending this. (Velp 201502)
