This dark vienna-munich type beer has had extraordinary acceptance in international markets. Exports to the U.S. began in the early 80´s, and have since attained great success in Europe, Australia, Central and South America.

Clear deep cedar color, small head, lots of carbonation. Boring bland aroma, and flavor to match. Sweet malt, but not much going on here, pretty boring.

Dark copper in color but not very attractive. A slight hint of fruity malt/roast in the aroma with other hints of band-aid, popped acne, salt and water. Awfully sweet with a vague chocolate, fruit taste and hints of dirty mop water. Yuck.

Well-made macro. I love the lightly roasted flavor with salsas and guac. Neither complex nor demanding, thank god. Every once in a while I just need to drink a beer and not reinvent the wheel.

Certainly one of the best available beers in Mexico, as it is flavourful and not too heavy - perfect for beach consumption. Dark amber and sweetly malty. All I drink (when available) in Mexico.

Dark brown/amber, with a tan head. Aromas of sweet malt and brown sugar. Flavor is much like the aroma, sweet malt and brown sugar. Body is medium to thin. Not bad, but $7.50 a six pack makes it too expensive for the taste.

Bottle - malty sweet aroma with a little must. Very pretty copper/bronze color. Smallish off-white head that fights and hangs on. Same sweetness in the flavor. Almost a hint of rye in there somewhere. Slight fizziness. I remember 15 or so years ago that I saw an article calling this the world’s best beer. I certainly wouldn’t agree with that, but it’s better than I remember. Not bad - a nice surprise!

another recent from my brother in law who’s just discovered it. I just discovered that I’d never rated it. Another one we drink during Mexican jaunts. It’s just especial with toasted malt. Nothing to write home about. Reminds me of Michelob Dark.

bottle. Dark clear brown color, thin white head. Smells like malt and molasses. This beer is like a mixt of water and molasses, not a good one, keep trying. Cette biere est de couleur brune foncee avec une tres faible mousse a l’odeur de malt et de melasse. Au gout, elle est tres aqueuse, aucune rondeur en bouche, on dirait un melange d’eau et de melasse.

Not as watered down as some of the other Mexican beers but still far from full bodied. It is also sweeter. Has a sweet malty smell and the aftertaste matches it exactly. It does taste a little like a bock worth a try.

Pours nice with a thinnish head. In many respects is like Shiner Bock. A good average beer.
