Excellent beer...goes well with a lime in it. NOt usually a fan of darker beer, but this is very smooth and tasty

Bottle. No head, color is a very dark amber. Nose smells like honey (that's a first for me!). Tasts is bitter and sweet at the same time. There is defiinately a note of honey in there! Also present is a strong malt flavor. Overall this is a pretty god beer, I was quite surprised. This would go so well with some good Tex-Mex.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2004 This beer is getting some bad ratings. It must have been placed in too high a weight class. You guys are comparing it to much better and more expensive beer. I very much enjoy this while I was playing poker. It didn't retain the head for very long, but so what, I think it tasted pretty good for what it is.

I was expecting a lot more from this. Okay flavor and aroma, and it wasn't as dark as I thought it to be. A decent beer but it didn't meet my expectations.

Cerveza negra (q mas parece tostada) Sabor rico sin llegar a excepcional, color oscuro y bonita botella :)

Pours amber with a thin fizzy head, not much nose to speak of, malty and slightly sweet, very fizzy and refreshing. Cuts through mexican food like quacamole really well.

Poured out of bottle a dark amber color wiht an off white head that quickly disappeared into nothing. Smell is of some malt. Taste is of some malt not to bitter not to sweet. Very clean taste.
