I was at a friends playing poker last night, and the choices of beer was either this, corona or Stella. Poured a darkish brownish color with an averaged sized head. Aroma and tastes of light caramel. Lightly sweet. Light bitter finish. Nothing special.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2004 well, i was quite drunk overall during my tasting, but the gold foil wrappings can be shaped over a tooth for a faux bling appeal---- Just had second tasting (sober)... pours deep amber with average head, a fizzy and slightly watery mouthful.

This has got to be my favorite easy to get beer when eating Mexican. Slight but pleasant malty aroma. Pours dark brown with a nice tan head. Flavor is a good match for spicy foods. The mouth feel could be thicker, but overall a good beer.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2005 I drink this from time to time when I’m at a Mexican joint. It’s malty so goes well with spicy hearty foods and while a little thin it still drinks well.

Definitely not a Mexican beer to be passed up. Try this one before you grab that Corona next time! :) Nice thick mouthfeel, with little head, good balance of malt and hops however the hops comes out on top for flavor. With the addition of a lime wedge it brightens up the darker flavors of this beer. Very nice, recommended.

A little nutty with a slightly buttery aftertaste. Good on a hot summer day.

Pours a dark rootbeer Colour with a rootbeerish head. It looks very attractive in the glass. Almost no Aroma and if anything a little bit of Malts. Nice buttery sweet malty mouthfeel with a medium bodied texture. This beer if very drinkable . There exist a decent sweet after taste with not too many hops to finish bitter. Instead there is some nuttiness to the finish. Some lacing exists. Not a bad brew to be sure. I will be having this again soon.

Initially I was a bit afraid of a dark beer from Mexico but was pleasantly surprised. A nice dark beer that has a nice medium malt flavor - doesn’t really have that much sweetness to it at all. One of the best products from Grupo Modelo.

(on bottle)Actually a beer I´ll thinking of keeping in my bar. Mild and round, it´s a good crossover for people who´s afraid of anything else put macro-pilsners. Bad aroma though, like socks forgot in the locker for a day, but the mouth and finish is nice and full
