COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dark vienna-munich type beer has had extraordinary acceptance in international markets. Exports to the U.S. began in the early 80´s, and have since attained great success in Europe, Australia, Central and South America.

Dark brown with fleeting fizzy head, served with a lime. Surprisingly good considering most "mexican" beers. Decent body and nice mild-malty finish. Very similar to Dos Equis Amber. I’ll drink either with my tex-mex from now on.

Good for a Mexican beer, but thats not saying much. Much better than a Corona, but again...A decent "black model" but no Tyra Banks. Maybe a Naomi Campbell in her heyday, or perhaps Iman. That is all. With a lime for some reason.

Dark mahogany with compact foam. Fizzy mean with moderated bitter, medium-light body. Discreet.

The best of the Modelo group. Maybe not praise in that Corona is bad and their Especial is average. Still, I thought it paired well with the real Mexican food I was eating. Full flavor. The best I’ve had from that side of the border. An acquaintance from Mexico told me that this is considered the best commercial brew there.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2005 The aftertaste is the best part of this beer. It has a pretty strong taste and is priced very well. This is the best Mexican beer I have had so far. If you go to a Mexican restaurant I recommend this beer.

Pretty delicious. Dark, but translucent and bubbly. A bit of corn syrupy taste that makes it similar to Budweiser. Excellent with food, heavy on the palate. Not that strong a taste, even though 6%. Good for a try, but not in my mind a session beer.

a nice dark or dark amber beer. Mexico’s best by a longshot. very crisp , with noticable "zing" from the hops. Clean after taste.

A Mexican beer alike no others. Maybe that’s why it’s more popular elsewhere than it is in Mexico? As a darker beer, this one is like Guiness-lite - it has the chocolate and earthy overtones, but isn’t as heavy. I definitely recommend this one when a Mexican beer is called for.

Wow! A Mexican beer that is good...imagine that! With a dark, malt caramel flavor that doesn’t need the lime, which is often gratuitously provided. Reminds me of a very light Guinness. Not bad at all.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2007 Well there isn’t anything offensive about this one and it’s a mexican brew that doesn’t need a lime to add flavor but it’s not one I’d spend drink often. Some malty flavor and a tad bit of roasty flavor to boot.
