COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dark vienna-munich type beer has had extraordinary acceptance in international markets. Exports to the U.S. began in the early 80´s, and have since attained great success in Europe, Australia, Central and South America.

Nice dark chocolate brown color, clear with a very thin head. Mild bitterness in the early part of the taste, with a smooth finish. Nothing particularly wonderful about the beer overall, but a decent easy to find mexican beer.

This is be confused as an ale but it is the best of the mass produced mexican beers. Good body and strong bitter flavor. Goes great with real mexican food

this beer is similar to a Vienna style lager, bitter sweet with a taste of chocolate character.

I thought this was great and mysterious. It has a TON of flavor. It is full, and hard to pinpoint what they derive from too. It is dark, with a huge head, and is robust. I would not just drink it to kick back with, but it is certainly a worthy beer. I liked it. (Cool stubby bottle too)

Sparkling bright copper appearance. The nose is of light caramel and hops, somewhat sweet. The body is lightly sweet and has a long sweet bitterness. Can get a bit sweet toward the end, but the hops are enjoyable.

As I expected - that "fake" dark chalky malt flavor. fizzy, thin. Not as much flavor as the appearance would indicate. I suppose it’ll do with your mexican food, I’d just about rather have water.

One of the only available dark mexican beers. Between Corona, Tacate, and Sol, this wins hands down. Slightly watered down taste for the color, but I don’t know this style very well. Tasty though! I drink this regularly at Cafe Ole.

What was that? Way to hyped up as a good dark ale. As soon as I took a sip I knew I had made a big mistake, it was weak in flavor, smell, body and appearance!

This only geta a 2 on appearance for deception: The claim that it is a dark ale, when in reality it is neither. It wasn’t nearly as offensive as other Mexican lagers. Decent mouthfeel, but there’s no getting around the weak flavor and aroma. A bit of caramel, fruits, nothing special.

Malty flavor of a vienna-style lager, but has the acidity of many Mexican beers that I have tried. Very much like Dos Equis Amber with sharper hops and less malt. Not very hearty (watery) but is much better than other Corona products.
