UPDATED: JUN 20, 2003 It's Mexican, not expensive, and sold in supermarkets. It has everything going against it, but it's not bad. A real surprise for me, very subtle flavors without coming across as watery. Somewhat satisfying. Nice packaging, I love the foil around the top so that when I'm pouring into my glass there's no *klink* sound.

Slightly better than the standard Mexican beer. Dark color, faint aroma, watery mouthfeel. A litle too sweet for my tastes.

Used to like this one a whole lot more. Now that the Texmex eateries are branching into having ever better beers I’ll likely not have one for a while. Still, for the old school Mexican brews it has more flavor and body than most.

Hmmm...not overall a terrible Mexican offering. Vienna? Yep, somewhat so, in it’s dark caramel toastiness (not too deep, mind you). A bit sweet, yes, but solid...or I have low standards! But can I get a hop?

It’s a dark mexican beer....you can taste the mexican in it...and i dont find it anything really special. It is hard to drink more than a few of and isn’t very smooth.

Had one of these in a bottle at Max and Erma’s restrant in Dublin, as it was the featured "Beer of the Month". Mild nose of toasted malt and caramel. Pours a sparkling medium copper. The large off-white head was almost creamy, mostly lasting and had ok lacing. Mild malt flavor with light acidity and a bready sweet finish. Medium smooth body that is both dry and lively and finishes mostly clean. Decent.
