This dark vienna-munich type beer has had extraordinary acceptance in international markets. Exports to the U.S. began in the early 80´s, and have since attained great success in Europe, Australia, Central and South America.

Pours dark caramel. Pretty nondescript nose. Malt properties are evident. Nice with the food from the same area. This is better than most of the offerings from Mexico that I’ve had.

Dark golden/Amber, small head. Aroma is malty and also brings some milk. The malt is there in the flavor as well. Quite pleasant.

Bottled. Pours a garnet colour. Rich malty aroma. Flavourful and malty. Smallish notes of chocolate. Maybe a bit ashy. A nice surprise.

Poured dark with little head. The taste is smooth, somewhat chocolatey sweet with some hops. This is the best thing I have had out of Mexico, but still only an average beer.

Bottle pours translucent dark amber, off-white pancake batter like head, with fairly good lacing but virtually no carbonation.   Aroma of malts and light fruit, apples & pears maybe.   Malty up front, sweet, with a slight green fruit tinge.   Finishes with a light fruitiness, very subtle malts.   Definite easy one to drink on a hot day.   Nothing extraordinary, but rather decent for a mass produced brew.

I drink this like some would drink budweiser. It goes with anything for me... cookouts, crabs. Great with a twist of lime. Dark, amber-brown brew with a very simple, frothy head at first, but dies down to a small rim lacing. The aroma is empty. The flavor isn’t anything fantastic and really doesn’t have any distinctive flavor. It tastes like a mexican beer and in my opinion is one of the best as far as mexican beers go.

Not a very good beer, but it is the best Mexican beer I’ve had. It pours a sort of amber color which is quite translucent. Everything about the beer is mild, from the smell to the taste to the finish. It’s all just sort of watered-down. Not very good.

Red-brown lager with a small head.It has a light sweet aroma with a touch of roasted malts. The taste is round and intens.in the mouth there are hints of black chocolate, roasted malts with a medium sweetness. The afthertaste is ending dry with a touch of bitterness.

Pours with a two-finger off-white head that leaves very little lace. Clear amber color. Light - medium bodied but slightly watery finish and light carbonation. Multi-sweet nose. Starts sweet finishes mellow. The ABV is 5.3% $7.99 for a 6-pack of 12oz. bottles, available everywhere in NH.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2006 Amber coloured beer, nice with mexican food at the side. Taste is not too great. It’s not impressive. Re-rate 2006: had it in mexico. It’s more subtile then I first thought.
