Bottled. Deep copper bronze, almost chestnut. Thin but lasting head and moderate condition. Slight mouldy mushroom aroma at beginning but faint roasty dunkel note soon takes over. Quite thin and flavourless in the mouth although some hop flavour is noticable. Finish is slight and forgetable.

A better but my no means great Mexican beer. Biggest complaint is how watery it is.

The colour is fine as is the malty aroma on the pour. In the glass it has a similar malt finish without a great balance of hop bitterness which is typical of the style.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 12, 2008 Had it at El Torritoes. Goes good with Mexican food. Coca cola color with a wispy head. Faint sweet aroma. Start is sweet and the finish is slightly acidic and spritzy. Have had better and have had worse, but beats Corona by a mile.

Faint sweet malt aroma, deep amber colour, with a small toffee head. Mild malt taste, watery, ordinary. Vienna?

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: SEP 9, 2003 This one is good. I thought it was a little like Corona now I know why. It is a richer darker beer then its companies name sake. Like Corona I think it is vastly underated. I guess mass marketing=bad to some people. This beer and Corona show that does not have to be the taste. I tend to like beer that you serve with a Lime, Lemon or Orange. I also like the Rasberry and Blue Berry beer I have had. Beer like fruit is refreshing. Mix them together and you have a perfect combo. Soes not taste like an oktoberfest it has a more Mexican feel

Great Vienna! The head is ok. The taste is amasingly smooth and no nasty after tastse. One of the best dark beers I have had. If you get a chance try one I think you will enjoy it

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This Mexican Vienna style lager pours a clear, dark, ruby red color with a thin, rapidly dissipating brown head. The aroma contains just a hint of malty sweetness. It has a light body with medium carbonation. The flavor is lightly malty sweet. The finish is crisp with just a hint of mild sweetness. Mouthfeel is smooth, and the mild hop presence is balanced well by the mild malts. A decent beer, better than the Modelo Especial. But still nothing fantastic, though it is drinkable.

Something a tiny step up from macro swill. Hint of malt in the nose and flavor. Would be acceptable in a Mexican resteraunt setting and almost no where else.

Amber brown color with small off-white head which dissipated rapidly. Aroma of toast, citrus and faint peach. Roasted malty flavor with dry hoppy finish. Light to medium body and gentle carbonation. Probably the best of the Modelo brands, drinkable but not something to out of the way for. However, the fruit flies in my house right now seem to love it.
