This dark vienna-munich type beer has had extraordinary acceptance in international markets. Exports to the U.S. began in the early 80´s, and have since attained great success in Europe, Australia, Central and South America.

Had this while on holiday in Colombia and it was a genuine highlight of my trip. Fantastic full taste but goes down very easily, I wish it was stocked more in Australia!

Better than Modelo or Corona, but lacks strong flavor in most categories you’d want flavor. Pretty watery, with a little bit of caramely roast going on. Generally just light, easy-drinking, and good enough as long as your surroundings are awesome, like the Pacific Ocean.

Bottle from the Emperor, Cambridge. Soulless beer in a soulless pub. Light to mid brown, some visible carbonation but no head. Slight aroma of cherries and chocolate malt. Sweet malty taste, fairly artificial. Well-carbonated if watery body. Caramel extract finish. Not great.

Better than corona, not as good as regular modelo. It had this corn syrup type flavor that I did not like. Palatable, but surely there are better choices at a Mexican restaurant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours brown with small top. Aroma is very toffee, some caramel, sweet candies, a bit sourness, syrup. Taste is more sour than expected. Otherwise some citrus, malt, caramel. A bit over carbonisation and also little bit watery. Drinkable.

Dit bier is een combinatie tussen pils en een lager. De smaak is redelijk vol: tarwe, hop en karamel. De laatste lijkt ook terug te komen in de kleur. Bijzonder biertje.

355 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Clear mahogany, several small bubbles in the glass. Medium size egg-white head, only some lacing. Sweet aroma, caramel and dark syrup. Soft, mid-sweet mouthfeel. Sweet taste, syrup, dark bread and metallic notes. Lacks bitterness.
