This dark vienna-munich type beer has had extraordinary acceptance in international markets. Exports to the U.S. began in the early 80´s, and have since attained great success in Europe, Australia, Central and South America.

On tap, came in a plastic cup because the restaurant was busy on Cinco De Mayo. Pours a muddy brown color with a medium off white head that leaves good lacing. Smells of sweet malt, slight coffee, and citrus. Tastes of the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is light and creamy with good carbonation. This is my favorite Mexican beer. Goes good with Mexican food and is lighter in body with is nice for a beer to enjoy with a meal.

I am surprised that the average rating of this beer is so low. It is a great beer that goes well with Mexican or on its own. And the bottle is beautiful.

A tasty dunkel. Not as much quantity as I am used to, but just as tasty. Has a nutty flavor and dark brown color.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2014 Surprisingly flavorful and rich for a lighter style thin beer. Great with Mexican food or BBQ fish outside in the hot summer months.

An average vienna style lager. Nothing overly complex about it, usually I’ll have one when out for Tex-Mex. It has just enough flavor to make it worth having.

Bottle pour. Looks almost like cola in glass. Small nose that is a pinch metallic. Basic Vienna malts. Good Mex option. Nothing special, but nothing wrong.

Hard to believe I haven’t rated before but not often on draft. Draft from Hernandez in Delavan....medium brown with minimal head. Some hints of caramel with decent body...goes well with the shrimp fajitas having here...
