This dark vienna-munich type beer has had extraordinary acceptance in international markets. Exports to the U.S. began in the early 80´s, and have since attained great success in Europe, Australia, Central and South America.

5.3%ABV.  Vienna lager.  Tapped out brown.  25°SRM Nose is laager sweet with dark malt richness.  Mouthfeel is sudsy. The palate is beery with a ton of malt sweetness.   The palate is very sweet with the richness and sweetness of dulce de leche. No hops.  Sweet light finish.

Avermelhada, translúcida, espuma fina com baixa duração,alta carbonatação;no aroma, malte, caramelo, notas tostadas e defumadas;sabor leve, refrescante, maltado e adocicado, baixo corpo, final levemente seco, retrogosto agridoce. Cerveja mediana,na minha opinião esta mais para uma Dunkel do que uma Vienna. DETALHES

The beer looks alright. The color is a dark amber, close to a light reddish brown. The beer pours a decent layer of foam, but the bulk collapses whir him seconds. A thin layer of a slightly off white foam remains on top of the beer. The beer is quite clear. The smell is surprisingly nice. It has a little stout in it, some bitter roast notes and a bittersweet licorice tone. Very nice and not what I’ve expected. The smell is a little watery though. It misses some kick, it is to weak now. The taste has a little more power. It contains the same hint of roast and licorice. Only, there is some more kick in it. The bitterness in the flavor is a fit stronger, which makes the taste a little better than the smell. The finish is a little monotonously bitter, and not very interesting but not nasty. The beer had a nice fizzling sensation, but again, not very special. All in all, a nice beer. Better and different than from what I aspected, but just not very special. But it is easy drinkable.

Had this while on holiday in Colombia and it was a genuine highlight of my trip. Fantastic full taste but goes down very easily, I wish it was stocked more in Australia!

Better than Modelo or Corona, but lacks strong flavor in most categories you’d want flavor. Pretty watery, with a little bit of caramely roast going on. Generally just light, easy-drinking, and good enough as long as your surroundings are awesome, like the Pacific Ocean.

Bottle from the Emperor, Cambridge. Soulless beer in a soulless pub. Light to mid brown, some visible carbonation but no head. Slight aroma of cherries and chocolate malt. Sweet malty taste, fairly artificial. Well-carbonated if watery body. Caramel extract finish. Not great.
