This dark vienna-munich type beer has had extraordinary acceptance in international markets. Exports to the U.S. began in the early 80´s, and have since attained great success in Europe, Australia, Central and South America.

Nothing to write home about for me, but I wouldn’t turn one down either. I was a little surprised to see this beer with such a high rating on other sites. Negra Modelo is an earthy, malty ale with medium carbonation that goes down pretty smooth and would pair up nicely with just about any meal at the dinner table. This type of beer however, has been done over and over again. It still beats drinking most Bud or Coors brews, but Modelo is going to have to come at me with a little more then just a cute styled bottle and some fancy foil around the neck. I probably won’t purchase another six pack of this after mine is gone, but then again, who knows.

12-ounce bottles. The bottles have an attractive shape to them. A good dark lager, more flavorful than Dos Equis Ambar.

Bottle at home. Amber beer small head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, malt. Taste is the same bit fizzy. Meh average.

I like it. Not amazing but very solid dark beer. The malt is not overwhelming and adds just enough sweet to make it tasty but not enough to make it very bread-y. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

caramel, bread, chocolate, floral, red, brown, clear, minimal head, white foam, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, thin feel, lively, bitter Nice malty notes up front with just a hint of Nobel hop. Sweetness is like toffee with only a hint of bitterness. Nice level of carbonation, but very little lacing. Finish is bittersweet. Really like this Corona product.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ a Mexican restaurant Deep amber/bronze sort of colour, off-white head. Smells pretty good - dark toffee, browned toast sort of malt thing happening. Medium-full body, some stickiness about it. Somewhat sweet - dark caramels, burnt toast, low bitterness. Not bad - nearly the polar opposite of the water pale pissy beers Mexico is known for.

5.3%ABV.  Vienna lager.  Tapped out brown.  25°SRM Nose is laager sweet with dark malt richness.  Mouthfeel is sudsy. The palate is beery with a ton of malt sweetness.   The palate is very sweet with the richness and sweetness of dulce de leche. No hops.  Sweet light finish.

Avermelhada, translúcida, espuma fina com baixa duração,alta carbonatação;no aroma, malte, caramelo, notas tostadas e defumadas;sabor leve, refrescante, maltado e adocicado, baixo corpo, final levemente seco, retrogosto agridoce. DETALHES
