Good lager. I tend to think of this as a Mexican Sam Adams. It doesn’t quite have the complexity of a Boston Lager, but it has that little malty-chocolate hint that makes it finish well. I took away some points because friends raved about this beer, and it was a small letdown when it was good, not great. But I do love the bottle.

Jul 26, 2008 This is a dark reddish beer with a off white head and nice lacing. The aroma is beautiful of malt and plum. The taste is not as strong as the aroma - Actually disappointed after the aroma but it is a light malt and caramel flavor. Overall an average beer worth the try but don’t expect too much.

Aroma: Dark fruit. Some malt.
Taste: Malt and some fruit. OK aftertaste. One of the better Mexican beers.

Jul 18, 2008 Pours a medium brown color with an off-white head and decent lacing. A refreshing alternative to the regular caribbean beers. Light nuttiness and some alcohol in the aroma, with hints of caramel in the flavor.

Jul 18, 2008 12oz bottle. Clear amber witha small and short-lived head. Some light nuttiness and caramel in the aroma, but has a processed, industrial twang to it as well. The flavor is rather light and simple compared to other viennas that I’ve had; a touch of cramel, but not much in the way of toastier malt complexities. Close to an American Dark, if you ask me, but it does have firmer hop bitterness that keeps it decently firm and crisp. Light and highly carbonated mouthfeel.

Jul 14, 2008 deep amber minimal off white head. Smells of sweet caramel and malts. Smooth palate, unremarkable taste with formeldehyde in the background.
