HarryFlashman (419), Chatham, Kent, England Jul 22, 2007 Updated: Oct 19, 2007Chatham is famous for some good stuff - i.e. Charles Dickens, HMS Victory and some bad stuff - Chavs. This beer falls into the latter category. Pretty disgusting really. Very thin and watery - not a lot of taste, fairly sweet. In short dishwater. Joeh (1892), Buckinghamshire, England Jun 13, 2006 Cask conditioned at Catford Beer Festival. Sweet and malty bitter with an ash finish. A standard ordinary bitter. chris_o (4409), London, Greater London, England Jun 10, 2006 Cask (gravity dispense), Catford Beer Festival 2006. Coppery colour. In common with a number of other nelson beers I’ve tried, its more malty than hoppy with a touch of sweetness. Pronounced toffee and caramel aroma with a touch of smoky malt. More of the same on the palate. This makes for a comparatively flavoursome session bitter, but the downside (for me at least) is that its not very bitter at all. Smooth and easy drinking but not entirely to my taste. Pretty well made though.
harrisoni (5331), Ashford, Kent, England Jun 10, 2006 Cask gravity at Catford BF 06. Deep copper with thin white head. Actually this is a pretty good malty session bitter. Got a good finish of dry malt. DJMonarch (4091), Northwich, Cheshire, England Feb 28, 2006 Updated: Sep 29, 2007Cask Stillage at the Pot Of Beer, Manchester 29/10/2003
Amber mid brown coloured with some alcohol present. Bitter with a smooth slightly nutty lasting malt finish.
