Rating #970 - Feb 12, 2014 - $7.99CAD for a 650mL bomber from Sherbrooke. Clear golden pour with a bubbly white foam, spotty lacing. Nose is peach mango, mild grassiness. Mouthfeel crisp, medium-heavy alcohol warmth, low-medium carbonation. Taste is sweet tangerine, lemony notes with the spicy tang and hoppy bite, lots of cool pine/resin sticky hop notes too. Rivals Central Cityís DIPA for best Canadian DIPA.

Pours a hazy redish amber with a thin pearl head; light but steady carbonation. Excellent hoppy aroma of citrus and resin. Taste is Malty.. like toast... not too sweet, warms to a nice citrus hop bitterness. Finish is of a nice grassy hoppiness. Quite nice, an excellent example of a IIPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650ml bottle pours hazy Amber with off white head, some lacing. Aromas are nice with citrus and tropical fruits. The taste starts nice but leaves you hanging a little, good hop flavor but didnít leave a nice finish.

Tastes OK ... but itís too malt forward and sweet, and its hop presence is too muted. Syrupy and sticky texture. Hazy yellow-orange with a quickly dissipating head. Lots of hard-candy flavors, plus some caramel and toffee. Hop notes are mild, earthy and only slightly zingy. Sadly, I lost interest halfway into my glass.

Bottle from Boundary Crossing Liquor Store, Vancouver
Cloudy light amber color with medium sized compact head. Nice fruity aroma, sweet, a bit peachy and animal. Lean body, soft mouthfeel; malt flavor, not too strong; ordinary bitterness, less aggressive than most beers in the same category; the hops provide some resins and light fruitiness; also the residual sweetness is low.
Easy to drink, fresh, not complicated.

In short: A tasty amber IPA full of ripe fruits and grass. Good.
How: Bottle 650ml, consumed a few months before expiration date, bottle sent to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt.
The look: Mostly clear dark amber body topped by a medium white head leaving a lot of lacings on the glass.
In long: The hop-forward nose is full or ripe fruits (ripe citrus fruits, ripe tropical fruits) over a big layer of grass. Body is full, medium carbonation, a slightly doughy texture. Taste is straightforward but very pleasant. Chewy malts reminiscent of cookie dough, a mild barley candy sweetness sensation, a ton of juicy fruity hops and wet grass. A little something dank in the overall hopping profile. Medium bitterness intensity. A light alcohol presence but nothing bothersome. Most of this beer is good, its main weakness to me is how the fruity flavors felt like ripe fruits and not fresh fruits. Thatís my opinion, and I enjoy rating beers but unfortunately ratebeer is full of male users who donít like to show their feelings and write me beermails telling me I have fabulous taste in beer.

Solid mouthfeel, mild but agreeable aroma, enjoyable taste. Somewhat of a straw taste, but overall well balanced. Not a star on its own, but an enjoyable background with food or snacks.
