Cask at the William Webb Ellis (JDW), Twickenham - 30/09/12. Lightly hazed amber brown with a medium sized white head. Malty nose, dark toffee and a whiff of smoke. Toffee in the taste also, caramel malt, biscuit, a litte peppery. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation leading to a bitter finish.

Red brown colour. Flavour has a woody edge. Also slightly vinous and fruity. Disappointingly thin considering the 6% alcohol. I thought it would be thicker and richer.

Bottle conditioned. Farmyard sweet silage aroma. Fizzy but with a nice ’real ale’ head. Hints of smoke and lots of sour dry cherry. Kind of a lambic/old-ale cross? This could be off but looking at other ratings I suspect not. Weird for a Kent beer that for sure.
