Cask at the ’Blue Anchor’ pub Hammersmith. Drank by the Thames in the sun. Pale yellow with a bubbly white head. Not much going on in the smell at all - I really can’t pick anything out to describe. Body is medium to big for the style. Taste is slight butter and grapefruit, fresh mildly bitter finish. Drinkable.

Cask conditioned handpump Eastgate Northampton 10/09/13 A classic brown coloured beer with a white bubbly head. Quite chalky in the mouth. Fizzy fruitiness. Predominant sweetness but perfectly decent. A tiny touch of acidity right at the end but it’s drinkable enough. I’m aware of Nelson’s reputation with some but this is OK.
