Cask - Wetherspoons, Canterbury. A golden coloured ale with an average white head. Floral, citric aromas. More citric and other fruit-based flavours on the tongue with a metallic edge. Dusty, yeasty hop finish and an OK palate texture.

Bottle conditioned: Smells of citrus fruit and hay. Straw gold colour. Intense peppery flavours with some tart tangerine going on too. Like most bottled beers, in my opinion, it’s better on cask.

Cask conditioned at The Woolpack, Banbury. Amber to gold with white head. A light, little session bitter, but rather thin on the palate. There is some hop in the background and a grainy malt with some dryness, but the package doesn’t gel too well. Lacking depth, just fair really.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a white head. Aromas are biscuit malts with earthy peppery hops. Soft, clean and floral. Flavours are sweet caramel and biscuit with clean hops. Yeasty with a dry finish.
