Cask conditioned at Catford Beer Festival. Rich malt, soft and smooth with some beefy/meaty character. Not a hugely interesting dark mild.

Cask gravity at Catford BF 06. Ruby brown typical dark mild colour. Malty choc/coffee aroma. Quite a choccy version of a mild. Yeah fine, some sourness on end. Fairly standard dark mild with a bit more choc and sourness than most.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. A brown mild with reddish tints and a nice head. The taste has some coffee notes as well as a bit of fruitiness. The aroma is also quite fruity for a mild. Intriguing.

Cask@Catford beer Festival. Acidic sweet, watery mild, some toastyness, pretty dull in the end.

Mid brown colour - not that dark for a mild. The aroma majors on ponderous undeveloped malt. Somewhat better in the mouth, but ruddy malt still dominates, without any significant roasted elements that a decent mild would present. Light bodied. Not too impressive, but drinkable.. Cask, Catford Beer Festival.
