3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head leaving a nice lacework on the glass. Aroma is mild spiced and cornish, light butterish too. Spiced and mild caramel malty flavour with a mild spice note and light bitternes. Ends with a light yeasty phenolic note on the back of the nose. Quite smooth and pleasent.

A cloudy ambergold coloured beer with some sparkles and a small white head.
It’s a party in the mouth, just one of the finest brewed beers.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the pub. Smells of booze and spice. Heavy, sadly, and the 9.5% is very evident. Not terribly complex, and with a slightly metallic finish. Not terrible, but certainly not very good.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Huge 2-ince white head shows no lacing, but aptly lasts atop the clear, straight golden coloured ale of shiny constitution. Very light-flavoured ale for this type of strength. Banana esters dominate and fortunately, no major sourness is involved unlike the other house beers. Sweet, but not unbearably so, it appears too much since there’s so little else going on. A bit fluffy, bready and with honeymelon undertones. Lemony hops are faint, but conclude it all with no proper bitterness to speak of.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
(1.3l) Dark yellow colored, slightly cloudy appearance. Little white head. Somehow unclean aroma with yeast and some lemon. Medium bodied. Flavor is more spiced and cleaner, nice fruity tone with sour lemon. Aftertaste is only lemon. Rather high carbonation. Not very fresh beer.
