Een lekker biertje, geen hoogvlieger, maar gewoon een goed stevig biertje.

Bottle Pours Very clear blonde. Big flakes on the bottom ( yuck ? ) Good white head Bit grains, bit bitter in the smell Too much carbo . SLightly perfumed, bitter .. Weak taste . Look, another representer of everything why I do not like Belgian beers ( well, this kind ) 13 in a dozen, very common taste . But WITH flakes ... I’ll pass ...

Very small gusher. 33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. Bottled on 01/2014 – wait that cannot be right! Can it? I assume that they meant to say 01/2013 instead. According to the bottle this one apparently needs to be tasted in wisdom, which is where I already fail. Very murky, opaque orange, touch amber, fading creamy white head. Smell is sweet, slightly fermenting peaches & apricots, candy sugar, touch honey & a slight milky sourness, honestly I am dreading an infection here. Taste luckily confirms that there are issues, albeit not cartographical ones, tastes of thick yeast, slight yoghurt, overripe peaches & apricots, touch bitter milky sourness in the back, bitter cheap honey sauce, hint brett. Big bitter plaster, HUGE chalk & esters in the finish. Thick yeast body, carb. is tingly like overripe fruit soup which started fermenting due to spoilage. Another small Belgian brewery beer that has clear issues & in my opinion should have not been sold. If the American beer geeks who salivate over Belgian beers knew how a lot of them taste like…

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2013 6/VIII/13 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ home - BB: I/2015 (2013-694)

Clear blond beer, huge -no, wait - enormous fizzy white head, pretty stable, non adhesive, lots of chunks floating around. Aroma: rotting and fermenting fruits, alcohol, CO2, some banana peel, sugary touch, very dirty. MF: soft to no carbon (seems to be all in the head, or something), medium body. Taste: sugary start, banana, some citrus, slightly bitter hops. Aftertaste: lots of citrus, very sour, banana peel, alcohol is very noticeable, little bitter. A disaster, this beer...

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden coloured hue with floaties and a blond and huge foamy head. Yeasty, mildly citrus-fruity aroma with notes of wheat and peppery spice. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Pale malty, yeasty taste with notes of citrus; peppery spicy notes again; mildly bitter and citric finish. 07.II.13

33cl Bottle@ home. Quite a gusher when opening the bottle, lost half of my beer there. Hazy white yellow blond coloured beer with some yeast particles floating, some medium carbonation and a medium dence white head. Refreshing light fruity citrussy and hoppy hinted aroma. Hints towards a Belgian white beer with notes of curacau in the back. Medium to full palate with a slight sprankle on the tongue. Finish is sweet fruity with a longer yeasty sweet almost sticky ending. Overall a decent brew, no surprises.

Bottle @ home. Hazy yellow color with a lot of yeast particles in it. Full sized rough soapy white to off-white head. Smell malts, overripe fruits, a lot of yeast and sweetness. Taste is almost the same: malts, a lot of yeast, some fruityness and sweet. High, fizzy carbonation, low to medium body. Disappointing brew.
