2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 faroeviking (10271) - FAROE ISLANDS - MAY 13, 2013
Botella. Bought at a Nepalese stand at an international spring festival in Fukuoka, Hakata. Clear thin golden, medium bubbly white head, thin. Mild aroma, bit malty, bit hoppish. Fair mouthfeel. Mild malty flavour with some hops, light to medium bitterness, bit dry. Ok.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 marcusrr (25) - London, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - JAN 22, 2013
An odd tasting beer, this one. It has metallic undertones that make it taste as though they have substituted hops for some AA batteries and a few 2-pence coins. Kind of refreshing, but not a good one.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Iphonephan (1192) - Virginia, USA - AUG 20, 2012
From a bottle in Kathmandu. Seved cold in an aluminum cup (of all things). Somewhat refreshing but there are better ( but not much better beers in Nepal). This one has a strong rice flavor - kind of a blend of sake and miller lite.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hirigalzkar (1818) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 3, 2012
Bottle (Thanks to Afrika-David). My first beer from Nepal this one... and it pours yellow... smells sweet corn... and tastes almost like a german bockbier with it’s marzipan notes and warming finish.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 finol (1684) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 3, 2012
Bottle at Davids exotic beer night.
Pours pale yellow.
Very clean brew, traditional taste of malt and europeean hops.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 berkshirejohn (3638) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2011
650ml bottle at a Nepalese restaurant in Hastings. Plae straw with a thin white head; sweet grainy aroma; the flavour is very sweet and ricey - this needed to be chilled even more to make it palatable, even with spicy food.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 dnoaksson (559) - , SWEDEN - JUL 10, 2011
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 harrisoni (10909) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 19, 2011
Bottle at Ghurka Palace, Cheriton, Folkestone. Unbelievably sweet lager. Aroma of corn and rice. Sweet in the mouth. Not much of a finish. Not much hop presence at all. Vague lemon flavour on finish. Pale gold clear colour with thick white head. I mean it went ok with the food, but you wouldn’t drink this by itself as it doesn’t taste very nice.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jaghana (2821) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - NOV 17, 2010
Bottle 650ml from Katmandu airport. A clear yellow beer with lox head. Smell is heavy on lager yeast. Aroma is sweet with a bitter grain flavor, finish is dry and spicy with good nuts flavor. Not bad lager but nothing exceptional.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 DeanF (1537) - Iqaluit, Nunavut, CANADA - DEC 30, 2009
Boring bright yellow appearance with barely any head, but it lasts for just a little long so I won’t give it a bare minimum score. Smells of tin, alcohol, and a small amount of grain. Taste is a cross between urine and cardboard, but at least it has a dry finish. In my opinion, this one really sucks.
