mbgrayson (41), Anaconda, Montana, USA Apr 19, 2008 I’m not a big fan. Bought a six pack in Butte Montana in 12 oz bottles. Not well carbonated...almost flat. Dark color, and has a bitey aftertaste that I don’t like. Not as rich or smooth as I like in a bock beer. Skyview (2657), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 11, 2007 First stop during the ABA Beer Tour ’07 is at the Z Bar (Neptune’s Brewery) in Livingston, Montana. Though this beer is available in bottles, I tried this on tap at the brewpub. Pours a cola-like caramel color brew with a thin off-white head that disolves quickly to a fine film and spotty lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, some grassy hops, and a touch of brown sugar. Taste is highly carbonated with flavors of tobacco and a yeast aftertaste. Finish is slightly acidic and metalic. After the finish the flavor disappears quickly. argo0 (6024), Washington DC, USA Jun 10, 2006 (draft) Dark coia body with beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, cola, some cherry. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, some cola, cherry, light sourness. Watery light-medium body, low carbonation, some stickiness. Like a flat cherry cola. bitbucket (1478), Kirkland, Washington, USA Apr 25, 2006 Bottled. Light brown, reddish highlights with a creamy, off-white head leaving some lace. Citrus and carmel nose, with maybe a little bit of soap? Medium-to-light body, sweetish with notes of citrus, caramel and nuts. Crisp and lightly hoppy finish.
