Our search for a location to start this brewery took us across much of Lower Bucks County, many times traveling down the well known divider between northern Philadelphia, southern Bucks, and Montgomery Counties….County Line Road. One of the original names we thought of for the brewery was that of County Line Brewing Company. I don’t know how or why we didn’t settle on that, but in recognition of our location so close to Philadelphia and that potential namesake, we decided to pass the name on to our flagship IPA that comes in at 6.63% ABV and is chock full of Warrior, Chinook, Simcoe, and Zythos hops. It’s got a bready, slightly cracker-like malt backbone to counter some of that hop bitterness, but not so much that this four hop combination won’t put a smile on your face (or a giant pucker). It’s got a huge citrus-grapefruit note with a nice lingering hop bitterness showing a complexity that few hugely hop forward IPAs lack.

Poured into tulip a hazy copper with white head and good lace. While the commercial deScription said citrus, grapefruit as did many other reviews here I got a pine aroma and taste. Crisp pine air over a resin. Enjoyed

Rusty orange color with a soft skimming of white. Canned pineapple juice and dehydrated urine are the early returns on the aroma. Caramel, hamster cage. Overwhelming grassy bitterness at first sip. Lacquering pine resins, cracked peppercorns and raw herbs. Stems and weeds, oversteeped tea. Powerful bitterness, unwieldy; sweetness is bland, specialty malt flavors sticky and dirty. The swallowed up sweetness is stale pineapple and musky sweat. The palate cleans up well enough, which is surprising, but generally this is a chaotic, rambunctious example; so much flailing bitterness.

Pours a very cloudy, dark golden orange color with tangerine edges and a one finger, frothy white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing left behind. Earthy hop aroma with a strong grass/soil presence. Some dirt and pine needle followed by grapefruit, faint citrus and a strong malt backbone. Caramel sweetness with hints of toffee, bread and biscuit. Medium body wih a strong wheat/witbier character. Tastes more like a hoppy American wheat beer than an IPA. Lots of bready yeast along with zesty spice and a strong lemon presence. Dry, bitter and earthy up front but this is quickly coutered by the peppery spice, bread and zesty lemon peel. There’s a strong bubblegum character as well before heavy malts come in on the back end with hints of toffee and caramel sweetness. Astringent with an unpleasant lingering medicinal quality. Very dry in the finish. An odd interpretation of the style with lots of lemon/citrus and wheat beer character clashing with the intensely earthy, dry hops.

Can to face. Aroma is hoppy citrus, some sweetness. taste is grapefruit, citrus, mildly sweet. Pretty easy to drink at first, then the hops linger around for a bit. Good IPA.

This beer’s sign would be the Gemini - average and huge on pine taste in a can; super hoppy/grapefruit taste on tap. When I blind taste-tested two friends this beer from a growler, they were convinced it was a true West Coast IPA (in the same company of Stone IPA). This brew on draft has a huge "hop punch" that exhibits a delicious grapefruit taste. If you live in the Philly area, take the trip to the brewery and grab a growler or two. Cheers!

Can to ÅTRÅVÄRD glass, hazy dark auburn hue, some tiny pulpy bust, small creamy white diminishing head, not much lacing, smell is a bread malt, crisp, on the lighter side, pretty good balance, maybe a little bit lacking some hop punch, what is there is citrus\grapefruit, not overly bitter, very drinkable especially for summer as is on the lighter side alcohol % than what i typically drink

Can poured into a glass -- Slightly Hazy golden yellow. Aroma is non deScript and not very ipa-like. Flavor is strong bitter and not too much else. Disappointing the lack of flavor and aroma hops.

Draft pour in snifter. Aroma is strong citrus and resin. Color is amber/orange, with a hazy, frothy, white foam head. Taste has a medium bitterness, lightly sour, and texture is a thin with a lively, bitter, long finish.
