COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our search for a location to start this brewery took us across much of Lower Bucks County, many times traveling down the well known divider between northern Philadelphia, southern Bucks, and Montgomery CountiesÖ.County Line Road. One of the original names we thought of for the brewery was that of County Line Brewing Company. I donít know how or why we didnít settle on that, but in recognition of our location so close to Philadelphia and that potential namesake, we decided to pass the name on to our flagship IPA that comes in at 6.63% ABV and is chock full of Warrior, Chinook, Simcoe, and Zythos hops. Itís got a bready, slightly cracker-like malt backbone to counter some of that hop bitterness, but not so much that this four hop combination wonít put a smile on your face (or a giant pucker). Itís got a huge citrus-grapefruit note with a nice lingering hop bitterness showing a complexity that few hugely hop forward IPAs lack.

Poured into tulip a hazy copper with white head and good lace. While the commercial deScription said citrus, grapefruit as did many other reviews here I got a pine aroma and taste. Crisp pine air over a resin. Enjoyed

Pours an amber red with a minimal tan head. Smells of flowers and citrus. Taste is bitter and sweet - spruce and citrus followed by biscuit malts.

DATE TASTED: December 13, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Barley Creek pint... OCCASION: celebrating a rare Browns win... APPEARANCE: picture-perfect amber body that has the slightest haze; small, sporadic bubbles...head is sudsy, swiftly settling into a small ring akin to a New England rock wall...sparse smears of clouds... AROMA: grapefruit, spice and pine in a pale ale intensity; secondary notes of cracker, buttery spice, and more citrus--lemon, melon... PALATE: intense and full-bodied, with a buzzing presence in the the teeth and a coating, thick aftertaste--definitely a bitter IPA in its strength... TASTE: spruce and pine early, with grapefruit, mango, and other citrus-like flavors (including lemon); malts are on the backburner, with slight cracker holding down the fort... OVERALL: Another win in a break-pack rebox from Country Liquors in Hope...this IPA encourages steady sipping while working its hop-heavy magic...nice to have the first beer from a never-before-experienced brewery hit as this one has...

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass at the Iron Abbey in Willow Grove, PA. The appearance is a golden yellow with a medium sized white head. The aroma is full of citrus and hops and the flavor matches the aroma. A very flavorful and hoppy beer.

Stine (1744) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 18, 2015
Rusty orange color with a soft skimming of white. Canned pineapple juice and dehydrated urine are the early returns on the aroma. Caramel, hamster cage. Overwhelming grassy bitterness at first sip. Lacquering pine resins, cracked peppercorns and raw herbs. Stems and weeds, oversteeped tea. Powerful bitterness, unwieldy; sweetness is bland, specialty malt flavors sticky and dirty. The swallowed up sweetness is stale pineapple and musky sweat. The palate cleans up well enough, which is surprising, but generally this is a chaotic, rambunctious example; so much flailing bitterness.

corby112 (2804) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 16, 2015
Pours a very cloudy, dark golden orange color with tangerine edges and a one finger, frothy white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing left behind. Earthy hop aroma with a strong grass/soil presence. Some dirt and pine needle followed by grapefruit, faint citrus and a strong malt backbone. Caramel sweetness with hints of toffee, bread and biscuit. Medium body wih a strong wheat/witbier character. Tastes more like a hoppy American wheat beer than an IPA. Lots of bready yeast along with zesty spice and a strong lemon presence. Dry, bitter and earthy up front but this is quickly coutered by the peppery spice, bread and zesty lemon peel. Thereís a strong bubblegum character as well before heavy malts come in on the back end with hints of toffee and caramel sweetness. Astringent with an unpleasant lingering medicinal quality. Very dry in the finish. An odd interpretation of the style with lots of lemon/citrus and wheat beer character clashing with the intensely earthy, dry hops.
