COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop Nut comes in at 3.9% ABV and as an added twist, we brewed it with 10 pounds of dried, pressed peanuts (which have 85% of the fat and cholesterol removed). When hydrated that made 27 pounds of peanut ’butter’. We also finished this beer off with a heap of Citra hops giving this beer a complex mixture of toasty bread, roasted, chunky peanut butter, hints of chocolate and coffee, and a firm resiny, citrus hop bitterness.

Hazy brown pour with a thin off white head and light sticky lacing ... aroma is pungent with floral and piney hops .... taste is of piney and resiny hops with a funky and light citrusy hops .. hop forward with a roasted malt and peanut butter to it with light chocolate malt ... lightly sugary with a nice hoppy bite on the back end ... finish is dry and bitter with a lingering hop bite ... solid and tasty

Draft at Railroad Street. Pours turbid dark brown with minimal head. Nose is vienna and caramel malts, heavy nuts, hops. Tastes very hoppy, rich, very nutty. Reminds me of a lighter version of hopback amber, with just as much hops, but more nutty flavor. This one is good.

Pours brown with a small tan head. Aroma is caramel, toast and burnt peanut??. Taste is sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Light bodied with a smooth and somewhat creamy texture. Very sessionable, lots of hoppy flavor for low abv.

Decent. Pours murky brown, with a fluffy tan head; nice lace in the glass. Aroma is primarily hops. Taste is a bit more hops than expected, but fairly balanced with malt and peanut butter notes. Biting hop finish on the end. Very flavorful for such low ABV.
