Leon is a big beer. So big, it has twice as much malt as any other beer we brew, and also requires us to do a double mash just to reach such a high wort gravity. Each 15 barrel brew has 45 pounds of freshly handmade marshmallow fluff made by our in house chef and Production Manager, Steve Capelli, as well as 16 and half pounds of bittersweet bakers chocolate, and 30 pounds of crumbled graham crackers.

Black. Thick creamy head. Breakfast porch beer day after 18 mile run. Creamy. marshmallows, but not sweet. Heavy. Semi-sweet chocolate. Somewhat bitter at the end. Every now and then hints of smores. Thx HankDaStank. Delicious. Alcohol well concealed. Nice Dessert beer, although Iíd like it a little sweeter up front and less bitter at the end.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy dark chocolate, light-moderate marshmallow, roasted malt, and a touch of burnt notes. Itís a dark brown with some orange transparency. It has a small khaki head that quickly fades to a minimal film outlined by a thin ring. The flavor starts with moderate dark chocolate, light caramel, and a hint of molasses. There is some light-moderate marshmallow in the middle. The finish has roasted malt, faint coffee, and a hint of nuts. Itís medium bodied with mild carbonation.

Tap. Dark pour with a big mocha head. Coffee, ash, roast, toast, caramel, licorise. Medium full body. Good balance of sweet, alcohol and bitter. Smooth finish. Alcohol is well hidden but a bit more body would be nice.

Thnx to Mike !!! Pours very dark brown to black. No real head. Smell is intense dark malts, bit bitter. Taste is chocolaty, vanilla, some spices. Bitter aftertaste. Very balanced ! Very nice taste, but unfortunately , I miss the smooth mouthfeel and the longlasting aftertaste in this one.
