COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Neshaminator – This is our take on a German wheat bock, but with a small twist. We brew this 8.5% holiday offering with orange blossom honey and keeping true to the style, over 50% wheat along with dark Munich malt, a hint of Chocolate malt, and German Hallertau and Tettnanger hops. While most German bock beers named with the ‘-or’ ending are traditional double bock lagers, we decided to break from tradition a bit with not only the name of this beer, but the use of orange blossom honey as well. Prost!

Nice to see this style on the US shores. A bit sweet, but even some of the German varieties are guilty of that. Dark brown body with near perfect beige head, thick and creamy, coats the glass. Aroma is sweet (raisins), taste is also led by the sweetness, but with the body of a decent hefeweizen nice and chewy. More sweetness on the finish.

Nice looking dark amber with a thin head. Not a lot of aroma to speak of. The flavor is caramel with a bit of sour fruit. Smooth but a little thin.

22 ounce bottle. Cloudy deep brown color. Large dense rocky tan head..sweet roasted malt aroma has notes of fruity yeast, dark wheat and metallic melon. Sweet and subtle toasted wheat malt flavor has a light banana ester character. Yeah, there is a slight touch of honey here, too. Rich cocoa-like nuances. Though it is somewhat true to the Weizenbock style, it lacks the complexity and richness of the classic brews of the Fatherland. Good, none the less.

22oz bomber from Lacey Spirits. Pours a dark brown color with a finger of foamy off white head. Aroma of lager yeast, chocolate malt, and rotted citrus. Taste of chocolate malt, olde rotted citrus fruit, roasted malt, and caramel.

Bomber. Nose of rich and sticky caramel, really sickly sweet candy, with wheat, yeast, and a healthy dash of spaghetti sauce. Pours dark, opaque with volume, supports a dense, rocky tan head. Way sweet taste with light bread and fruit, really working a nice date-and-cherry-dipped pumpernickel, very low bitterness with some brown sugar and beautiful toasted bread crusts. Jammy orange marmalade undercurrent and spicy hops, even has some light diacetyl showing. It’s getting a nice effect from the Munich, that hollowed-out lager middle, even if everything else is screaming "ale! ale!" Sticky lips and fullish body, alcohol utterly (and dangerously) hidden. I’m inclined to be against this kind of take because of its heavy sweetness, but the flavors are fun and the intensity plays well with food.

Pours a hazy brown with a light tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt. Taste is sweet and malty with a slightly bitter middle ending with a cleaner finish.

Bomber bomber from b-law. Generous foamy head. Dark brown color. Aroma of caramel, slight caramel. Medium light sweetness. Sugary malt notes, honey also. Nice mouthfeel. Alcohol is very well hidden. Toffee tastes. Pretty good stuff. I’ll be back...
