3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very hazy golden amber with a whitish color head. Standard tripel with yeast, spice, and a bitter citrus zest flavor. Full and fairly strong, perhaps a little bit of tartness, but still dry overall.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy golden and orange coloured body with a bright tint and a very thin just off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, curacao, yeast, wheat, honey, bubble gum and a dose of hay and grass. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong yeastie and wheatie flavours with a lot of alcohol, some hay, grass, perfume and barnyardie funk mixed in with a heavy dose of sugars, ranging from icing sugar to honey. Aftertaste shows a good balance and verges on the edge of sweetness and alcohol notes - fairly close to the style dictates. Overall, a fairly typical trip with a nice show of sweetness and body, but perhaps a bit too much for a large format bottle - still, nice to try and worth finding if you like the style, as itís a respectable option this side of Belgium. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 06-July-2013 for US$5.12 sampled at home in Washington after just returning from Portland on 28-September-2013.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A strong, in your face beer that keeps its composure. It has great orange, wheat, yeast, and spice flavor. The smell is dark fruit, hop and spices, maybe cinnamon.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/11/13
Aroma: This one has a spicy nose, with some yeast, fruit, and a bit of hop as well
Appearance: It pours a hazed orange color with a frothy head with good retention and plus lacing
Flavor: Tastes much like the nose, with plus spice, yeast, fruit, medium sweet, light bitter
Palate: The body is medium, it has a tingly carbonation, mild stickiness, and a light dry finish
This wasnít as amazing beer, but for some reason it works pretty well. I found it to be some pretty tasty stuff, and thatís the goal, right?

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Medium sized offwhite head of varying sized bubbles and good carbonation. Dusty aroma with some corn, light grainy malts, a hint of citrus and some cardboard. Color is a very hazy dark orange. Moderate alcohol presence up front and late swallow. Sweet malts, light citrus again, earthy overtones and some spices. Typical tripel flavor but is overpowered by the alcohol burn. Rather dry and a bit chalky at the finish. An ok tripel.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
No bottling information.
Appearance: The body is a hazy amber with golden tinges, the head is tall and dense, settling slowly and very unevenly into a dense white coating. A perfect looking tripel to my eyes.
Aroma: The aroma is clean, a bit too clean for a tripel. The esters are kept to a minimal, perhaps hints of citrus, but very light on the banana and cloves typical of the style. The aroma comes off a tad floral even. Perhaps they should take some of the esters from their hefe.
Taste: The flavor is more malty than the aroma indicates, with hints of banana, coriander notes run throughout, notably most on the finish with orange. Not very much like other tripels Iíve had. Too dry and too much citrus, not enough esters.
Palate: Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation.
Overall: Most of the Belgium tripels, and American ones, have been more yeasty with more pronounced sweetness. I find it a bit odd that they want to make this even more dry as I find this too dry for the style. I would like this more if the yeast had more presence and this were a bit sweeter actually. This drinks more like a malt leaning witbier due to the coriander and orange.
