Cask - The Kings Head, Norwich. Going against the grain here somewhat. Poured a clear light amber with a lasting, foamy off-whtie head. Orange and some bitter citric hop aromas. Lovely grapefruit sweetness and tangerine with a moderately lasting grassy, citric bitterness. Soft palate, some fizz, light to medium body with an OK length finish.

Cask at Baker Street, W’Spoons, London. An amber coloured pour with an off white head. Malty aroma. Tastes fruity, citrus, little sour too. Not a good beer in my opinion. Too many like this in England unfortunately.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 RichardW (861) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2010
Cask, Griffin, Carlisle. A typically apple/grassy tasting Nethergate brew. Amber coloured with a sweet aftertaste. Not bad, but nothing special and a pretty ordinary beer overall.

Cask@Bear And Staff, London. Copper colour, small off-white head. Aroma is wood, herbs, mild fruityness as well as some slight floral notes. Flavour is fruits, wood, some herbs and rather grassy. Nicely balanced, but not very exciting.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 MesandSim (7108) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2009
A Mes rate. Cask at Baker St ’Sporks. Clean orange gold with a thin off white head and lace. Strange and unexpected chocolate and ginger notes in the aroma. Wholemeal and grainy flavour. Pretty awful to be honest. Once the bread has settled down the are some faintcitric notes in the finish but it’s not enough to save it. ARSE!

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. A light amber coloured beer with an off white head. The aroma is malty and there are hay notes. The taste has a hint of fruit but is very plain and a bit dull to be truthful.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 hughie (3992) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 21, 2008
UPDATED: JAN 2, 2010 Another in Nethergates series of rather unfunny ’Azza-’ titles. Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small white head. Quite a gentle almondy malt aroma. The taste, which is quite lively, comes as a surprise, with malt and some fruit sourness, followed by a brisk hoppiness. This beer had quite a lot going for it, but I didn’t enjoy it as much as I would have thought. Perhaps it was the stupid name. 2.1.10 Same location, and this time I really enjoyed it. Sweaty malt aroma and taste. Sweetness of the malt intensified. Some bitterness. Rating: 6,3,7,4,12:3.2
