3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the William Webb Ellis, Twickenham, 12/04/13.
Almost clear dark amber with a thin frothy off white head that retains well.
Nose is ginger, malt, spice, orange peel.
Taste comprises dark malt, light spice, light toffee, citrus notes, orange pith, ginger.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dryish finish with a ginger tang.
A decent enough offering which pleasantly surprised me, the ginger was well balanced making for a drinkable beer.
