On cask at Dead Poets Inn, Holbrook. Another golden ale, better than the average ones though. Its appearance is deceptive and it tastes more of a best bitter. Some toffee in there.

Bottle. Blonde with a steady, but thin white head and bubbles. A light malt nose with fresh citrus, a little tangerine and lime. Spicy on the tongue but not overly so and opens up into fruits - tangerine, kumquat and a nice warm maltiness. Really drinkable with a sweet soft finish.

Cask at Angleterre, Helsinki. Colour is golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours are citrus, fruits, hops and bitterness. Quite dry.

500ml bottle: poured at home into an Abbot Ale glass tankard three weeks after its best before date.
Looks are clean and clear: light amber with a full head of white bubbles on top.
Mild malty nose: with a fruity hint here and there.
The taste is a pleasant enough mixed bag of flavours with both the hops and the malts vieing with each other for supremacy: the malts winning the initial battle (slight caramel and biscuity) with the hops giving a good account of themselves in the finish where a bitterness comes into play.
Not bad at all, better than I expected.

Cask by handpump at State Bar, Glasgow - clear golden, good white head, fruity citrus aroma and flavour, good temperature, oily feel, bit bland

Bottle. Bronze with a small head. Gentle bitterness that lingers for some time. A reasonable if uninspiring bitter.

Slightly sweet golden ale with a healthy hopped nose. Has a noticeably good body to it.

Bottled: A nice, golden ale with a thick foamy head. A light but distinctive, citrus flavour and very moreish.

Bottle from b&m Chester-le-Street. A golden beer with caramel and toffee flavours and slight earthy and woody notes on the finish.
