COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - Christmas.
This copper-coloured festive ale has a well-rounded bitterness, with zest and tang. American and German hops, plus roast barley and wheat malt, all collide together with phenomenal success in the flavour.
Hops used: Hallertau, Willamette

Cask (handpump) at the Shakespeares Head (JDW), Holborn, 28 December 2009. Bright copper colour. Slightly fruity aroma - mainly berries. Tart mouthfeel. A little sour on the palate in fact. Drinkable but not in peak condition IMHO. Re-rate when possible.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber with white head. Opening night at a brand new Spoons, you would think that they would try extra hard to get it right, but no, this was cold and flat unfortunately. The beer is dry with a strange spiced note, bitter throughout and a little false. Below par.
