Cask @ Bedford Arms, Bedford. Lager/golden ale yellow. Sulphurous Burton-y aroma. Very similar taste with sweetness overlaying the astringency. Not Growler’s finest hour but drinkable.

Bree Louise. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, no real head. Palate is light and smooth. Very modest mild carbonation. Sweetish grainy malt. Little citrus and mild skunk. Finishes smooth. Much too grainy, not good.

Cask conditioned handpump Wig & Pen Northampton 10/07/13. A golden beer with a whitish head and lace. Quite sweet with some Blackpool rock flavours. A decent body but this is oversweet. No hop profile of note.

Cask conditioned at The Turf Tavern, Oxford. Gold with white head. This proved to be a hoppy, zesty, fresh beer, nice and drying with a grapefruit, fleshy note in the hop. Very pleasant drinking.
