An amber beer with a frothy head. Itís got a very dry citrus and ginger flavour though the aroma is almost stronger than the taste. If you let it sit on the tongue itís almost like lemonade. An odd but likeable beer.

Bottled from Copper, Gosforth. An abundance of fresh lemon in the aroma, leads to quite a full on bitter assault with the first mouthful. Very little sweetness given the addition of ginger. The lemon plus the hops pushes the bitterness just a touch too far for my liking. Enjoyable as a one off/something different, but would probably not go for another,

far too much ginger. not enough beer (or lemon). a bit like one of those horrible ginger drinks. thankfully not as sweet.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys Ashford. Clear amber not much head. Smells of a bitter shandy, tastes of bitter shandy with a bit more bitterness coming in from the ginger. Quite a lasting bitter ginger finish. So lemon up front, ginger, carbonic acid and bitterness on finish. Yep, not very good to be honest.

To be honest: I didnít expect much of this beer as Iíve a number of íLemoní beers to try, but I have to say this was certainly worth drinking. Refreshing with an excellent balance of malty sweetness, fresh lemony flavours and hints of ginger. Perfect for summer drinking and I can imagine this will certainly appeal to the female palate as well as being a great session beer. Not bad at all.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Hazy gold beer. Good suddy white head. Light dry palate. Nice flavour - as much ginger as it is lemon. Fresh and tantalising but the palate is over dry, especially on the finish.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
On cask at The Windmill Tavern, Clifton, Lancashire. Pours golden with a white head. Takes time to settle, itís far too lemony, more like a lemon syrup. It appears a good bitter has been spoiled and itís too sickly for me.
